I still think Jordan's Biblical Lecture Series was some of his best work. The claim to fame brought forth by the nonsense political diacourse (when its well known that politics is but two sides of the same corrupt coin) is very overblown.

That's my thing with Jordan too. I LOVE his philosophy and psychology talks. But I thoroughly despise his culture war/ political bullshit

I am so glad that John Verveke is out there in the mainstream. An actual philosopher. Peterson is not a philosopher.

Vervaeke compares himself with giants and is beginning to think himself better then he ought. I can actually feel his false humility at times. He needs to recognize his popularity, albeit he has talent, is only because he fell into the Peterson orbit. And his playing the middle is weak in character. "I think he is fundamentally a good person"??? That is an understatement, and it reveals your loyalty level and gives away your willingness to appease your audience sir.

Vervaek likens himself to the Greek line of Plato and Socrates but it was precisely because that Greece was decadent that he was able to exist in that space. Things did not get better because of those people and Verveak has the same fate and motif going.

Right off the bat I don't find this guy very substantial.

Truly our God is the only way. And Jesus is more than can be defined in the Greek alphabet.
