I got all his CDs off my brother back in 1986 and have just loved this man ever since, how can a voice stay so perfect over all these years, we are truly blessed to still have John touring in 2023, without doubt one of the best most enduring rock voices ever.

This man has been making stellar music for well over 40 years. He is one of the greatest voices in music history.

I've known JOHN WAITE for many many many years . He is an incredibly sweet man . I've never grown tired of him . He has the lovely voice of an angel .

The man gets older (as we all do) but the voice never ages.

If I had to narrow it down he’s my favorite male rock vocalist. There are more power voices out there but he has plenty of that too., and nobody can match his sense of melody and nuance and his vocal timbre is unique. No other singer sounds like him, he was born with this magical gift.

Very heartening. John continues to do what he does best. If you can do it, you should never stop. There is simply no reason to stop.

It may have been out awhile, but this song is still as lovely as ever. I think we all need to hear the 'sound of someone's voice who loves you' from time to time. Reminds me of a good friend of mine who was there for me when I was going through a rough time. He hugged me and was letting me cry on his shoulder. Then, he said 'See that tree, you are like that tree.' Just what every woman wants...to be compared to a tree! I had to stop crying and laughing, until I heard the rest of his words that comforted me. Hope that 'sound of someone's voice' does not start comparing you to a tree. Then again, maybe being compared to a tree is a good thing. For tree bark on the outside of a tree may be weak. On the inside, oak trees have especially strong hearts. Thus, they weather the elements. They weather the elements like each of us must from time to time. Thus, perhaps we are all trees..at some time, in some ways. That 'sound of someone's voice who loves you' may be giving the best advice you have ever gotten. :-) Thus, this song is lovely.

Only someone that has experienced a real broken heart, will understand that love is not just for young adults. The incredible amount of love it takes to wish someone well in a new life without you; is another dimension beyond "sex, drugs, & rock' n roll." Devastating.

Not just an amazing singer, but an amazing songwriter, as well. Beautiful song! I always loved 'Missing You' (who didn't?), then I heard, 'How Did I Get By Without You' and this song. Such a soulful person; feels as if he puts his whole heart into everything. That is rare.

Beautiful beautiful song from a true legend. Missing you is one of the songs that has been in my emotions since it was all over MTV in the 80's. It always moves me both for the lyrics and for John's voice which goes right to my heart, just like in this song. He sings with so much true feeling you know what he sings is real. How can you not love this guy.
