ABCD Camps, Free Shoes, but matching up with some of the best players in the nation at the time. John always played up in age and faced some of your favourite future NBA players.
I am 41yrs old today 1/22 I went to the ABCD camp in 1999 I was class of 2000 Gerald Wallace was my teammate that camp was one of the best basketball experiences of my life .They treated us like we was future NBA players.
Brandon Jennings almost had me wearing under armor because of how good he was. I saw him come late (2nd qtr) and put up damn near 40 by the end of the game at Berry Farms in DC.
I already loved John Wall but watching this interview makes me love him that much more. I wish more of my favorite players were this open and honest. MFFL
Camps was it back one the day. Especially invitation only camps. You looked inside Slam Mag to see who was at the ABCD and NIKE Camps. Even Five Star camp was still a thing. If you was nice in your state, The University or State school would bring you to the invitation only camp and the paid camp...Memories. Before cameras was everywhere. This John Wall interview is high quality. Good work
The 2000s AAU was crazy 🔥 Every timeout we had a Adidas Big Time when Dwight Howrd, Josh Smith & Rondo were playing even the refs were running over trying to watch.
Yea not gone lie growing up it really was all about camps the eybl didn’t start until my sophomore year of high school (2010) it was a flex to get invite to a top camp
