Part 1 gets revenge over a car and a dog. Part 2 is forced to kill the guys sister over a blood bound made in the past. Part 3 is on the run because he killed a guy on continual grounds Part 4 ??????
*FUN FACT:* Keanu was actually battling the flu on the days that the club scene were shot. He still persisted through his sickness because he didn't want to delay production, and still kept re-doing takes until the shot was perfect, despite experiencing high fevers.
yeah. they actually wanted to shoot entire fight scenes with less cuts in between so they used a steadicam to film all those epic fight scenes. Pretty awesome tbh.
@Mikeyy12 C.Lennz the throw he puts on the hitman in the kitchen during the first shootout scene in his house looks like the stunt guy went home bruised that day haha
Real professional killer doesn't look even close like this. And doesn't act like this. But I wish You to never know how "pro" looks and acts in reality.
It's obvious that when we have a director, star, producer, and supporting cast who all love their craft and want to make a quality product, it shows. We have one of the best action movies in recent memory all because of their dedication and mastery of their art. It resurrected Keanu's career, graced the silver screen with a reminder of how it's done, and gave us cinema's next great badass. Thank you, cast and crew of John Wick. Also, that redhead at 0:28 is a fox.
When Stahelski at 5:53 said he didn't eat cut-cut-cut I was so happy. I absolutely love action movies but their fault is always using so many angles and cuts to make it seem cool that you can't really see the one-on-one fight but just flashes. The whole reason John Wick has become my favorite movie of all time is because they do the opposite, you see the action and the effort and the realism to it. It just hits me to the core watching the movie, I loved the directing but this BTS just shows me more of what I love and how they got to the point of making an epic movie that honestly has set a standard for how action should really be like.
Lissette Aren Jackie Chan's directing style is just like this one where he tries to capture an entire sequence in one take so you can actually see the punches and kicks just like how Stahelski wants to show off John (Keanu) and what he is capable of doinh
If i know it correctly, Keanu Reeves had a 40°C fever and he was very sick when this scene was shot, but he still made every of his stunts, and didnt delay the filming of this scene, so the film didnt get delayed. Thats what i call a real ACTOR!
I feel like that's his signature , you know the first and second movie have a scene in a club or party and I love it! 💓💓 the music and the shooting is on point
Thinking exact same thing!!! In the movie, I was thinking: "Ok. How'd they do that one." YOu can almost feel that pain (football memories for me or falling off my bike jumping dirt ramps). And now I know. Technology is great!
I know! It’s so seamlessly executed! And I love the combination of effects (like the sounds) and the acting aspect, how they really made it look genuinely painful, and difficult to recover from. It very nearly hurts just to watch; makes me wince like heck...which I’m is exactly what they want! One problem you see sometimes is that people will take really big hits onscreen yet don’t seem to react to it nearly as substantially as they should. Thumbs up to them (directors, choreographers, actors, etc.) here and in other scenes of the movie for showing that sense of impact!
Great thanks to the.script writers , director , staff and well played actors and keanu . John Wick franchise is I considered one of the best action movie of all time.
Greetings from Keanu Reeves, thank you for the unconditional love you've shown towards me. I appreciate all of it. What's your name and where are you chatting from???
@@StrongFreeLovin Not naive... Just in disbelief as the stitching was near seamless! It was only on a second watch through did I realise. No need to be a keyboard warrior asshole
Awesome 👍 I love watching these out takes of the movie! They're so exciting to watch just to see and hear what the actors say when something goes wrong or correct with the scenes. I love the idea that Keanu knows these moves. Keanu reminds me of Chuck Norris or David carradine and the way they moved. It's amazing 😍. Keep it up Keanu Reeves ❤️ and make more history! Thank you for bringing this video to us to watch. Love you Keanu 💞😘. 😎🇺🇸🌴 FLORIDA.

I will never be able to hear the “I’ll never break your heart” song without this scene going through my head. It was the perfect song for the red circle scene. Now I gotta watch this movie again when I get home. Nobody could play Keanu like John Wick.
It was actually the guy next to the cameraman. And, I'm not sure why he was so close, but it appears he tried to catching that guy that was falling to the ground.....unsure why he would though.
@@thetourminator I think he must have thought his angle was a bit off when falling and that his head might hit the camera. The way he reached out it seemed he was trying to be sure the guy cleared it safely.
@@thetourminator he’s a spotter- usually you have spotters for operators running steadicam/shoulder or easy-rig as they’re focussed on the monitor or EVF so they can’t see what’s going on. Just as this example shows. Other people that might be near the camera are focus puller/1st AC and DP.

I love seeing Keanu applying martial arts like Jiu-Jitsu into a heck ton of his fights, I really enjoy it when I recognize a BJJ move in there :D all in an amazing mix of shooting and close combat fighting

"We want to see the choreography, we want to see the movement, we want to see martial arts" YES so sick of films rapidly cutting through the fight to hide all the mistakes because they couldn't choreograph it properly, John Wick showed us exactly how it should be done.

That one scene where Neo takes on three agents on his own, and the first one to approach him says "Only human..." Neo blocks all his moves and attempts to counter with a punch--which the Agent successfully catches, prompting Neo to say "Hmm, upgrades."
Ace's High "The anomaly, shall we proceed, he is still....only human" The 3 agents complete each others sentences like besties. And Neos like, "Hmm, upgrades?!"
3:00 Darrin, the stunt coordinator claimed Keanu Reeves killed 6000 people in the club. We can understand this under two aspects: 1. Darrin was joking about the scene being a bloodbath of Russians and Ricochets, with the kill count being almost endless. 2. He meant it literally. Back in the scene of Francis the Bodyguard during their dialogue, the word “Sixty” out of “over sixty pounds” were marked. This means Francis was informing John of the amounts of security he will have to face once within the vicinity of the club. We also know that Keanu Reeves wanted to shoot this scene perfectly, and won’t stop until that is achieved. Darrin may actually mean that they reshoot the scene 100 times; or at least nearly 100 times. Now do the math: 60 Guards multiplied by 100 equals 6000. Darrin maybe wasn’t lying after all. Tl;dr: The Stunt Coordinator’s claim of getting 6000 guards killed on the club scene can either be dismissed as a joke, or can be understood that they reshooted the scene so many times that when they are finished, the John Wick kill count rose to 6000 on that scene alone.
this movie series, i swear... i already watch 2 of them so many times, never got bored. And then watching this, it made me want to watch all three of 'em again
I’m so glad this director flipping gets it!! One of my biggest pet peeves in action movies is when you can’t see the fight choreography clearly, whether because of the camera angles and cuts, poor lighting, or other reasons. I _adore_ good fight (esp hand-to-hand) choreography in movies and tv shows-it’s one of my favorite things about them period! And to have the choreography wasted by being shot in a way where you can’t even see it clearly is extremely frustrating for me. Thank God Almighty that the people working on the Wick films actually get this...and seem to share my love for great action of this kind. It’s also wonderful for Keanu’s sake (and that of the other actors and stuntspeople). As phenomenal a job he did and as hard as he trained, what a shame it would’ve been not to make full use of that and show it off in a wonderful way. ^^
5:33 Some may say it looks fake but it looks really cool to me, like a stylised shot rather than a sloppy cut. It also makes it look like he fell real hard.
Yes he can do that at the age of 58 years old now. Still fit and healthy for this role. Plus all the gun fights and combat training is most important for thus role. Its incredible to see this in action!
