The original version was played during the end credits of another Keanu Reeves movie, The Devil's Advocate (1999) also starring Al Pacino & Nicole Kidman
@@theabstudios3174 a person upset by my comment, which is my opinion... you really could have put it elsewhere but you don't love the attention... anyway
As soon as the broadcaster said "Paint it red"... I knew this will start playing :D instant smile Yes I know the original is Paint it Black, but it made sense to me
in all john wick movies, his total kill count ended up being 439 the world's deadliest sniper, Simo Häyhä, ended up with a real life kill count of 505 that's just insane to think about
@@coolsunny1247 yeah lol and I mean what we see is nothing more than what we see. As with every movie, there are cuts between scenes. Maybe he kills a few more between scenes. Regardless that hardly means anything when like you said the entire series is after he retired.
That legend only used iron sights as well to snipe his enemies and stuffed his mouth with snow to stop the heat of his breath from revealing his position, safe to say I would not have wanted to cross paths with him nor would anyone else
John Wick 4 is the best action/gun play film ive ever seen. The amount of work that must have gone into that film is probably ridiculous. I've gone to the cinema and watched it 17 times, ive never done that before.
I've known of Marie's version for years, as soon as I heard the intro in the movie, I thought to myself "If this is Marie, this goes from good action romp to f'n MASTERPIECE." And so it was.
From France... Only watch the 4th of the franchise cause I thought it was similar to fast and furious (basic action movie, barebone plot, all about the spectacle) boy was I wrong... And even though the radio lady was speaking french, the word about the man dressed all black, paint him red sparked this music in my heart just a beat before it came.
What? JW4 made different version for France? In my country, radio lady speak English, and the song is English, but "Paint it Red". Paris radio lady speak English makes me really upset.
Yep, watching it in cinemas was a once in a lifetime pure amazing experience. This 4th movie is my favourite in the series and it is one of my favourite movies in general.
I haven't seen the movie yet, I will in the far future, but this song perfectly fits John Wick whenever he fights since the song is like a fight song anytime I hear it.
The moment this song played in the movie was the moment John Wick was no longer "The Boogeyman" to me. From then on, I referred to him as "The Man in Black", the embodiment of death itself. ☠️
If I had a superpower, it would be to fight with the power of singing intense sounding songs, in the most intense situations and scenarios, the song would be either Paint it Black or Marie Douceur Marie Colère

"With all do respect, Mr. Wick, and I mean all do respect when I say this, but have you had experimental surgery to remove your balls recently?" "Are you ready for some... Shake! "And Bake?" "SHAKE AND BAKE"
i lowkey expected it to be the original rolling stones version, but i guess it make sense since it was playing thorugh the radio in paris.. still want to see it tho
This is not the Paint It Black version in John Wick 4. Here is the cover by Marie Laforêt renamed "Marie Douceur, Marie Colère", with Mick Jagger . The movie let us listen to one sung by Manon Hollander from the group Holispark on the music arranged by the film composer.
I was watching with a friend yesterday. When big lips says on radio time to paint our black man red, I told my friend "She's totally gonna play Paint it Black." Then I hear the first couple of notes and I tell my friend: Oh shit! It's the French one sung by a woman! And they're in Paris, so that makes sense. So I paused the film and played my MP3 of the song but noticed the guitar playing is slightly different. I said huh that's odd, because it's clearly played in the same style. But mark my words! It's gonna be a woman singing the song in French! (And it was) I figure because the recording of the original is kind of bad and her voice is just too damn shrill, they produced a cover of the cover for the film. Luckily this gives them power over the music to make it fit more with the movie, and if you listen, at times it sounds very movie-esque. So I don't think it's just a different recording of the song by the same band. It sounds too modern and crisp.
This isnt the movie song, thats a cover from 1967 by french singer marie laforet. The one u looking for is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xKX2LQYthM0.html BUT ! If u quite like it and want more amazing song from that artist comme here ru-vid.com/group/PLCNaFwkhOrVHS0crR8XbD35mjYhhcuXKe u wont be disappointed even if u dont speak a word of french 😊
i was tired asf and i went to sleep while watching this movie. as soon as i heard the beginning of the song, i just shot up just to see this scene and i headbanged hard as hell
like i swear you tube just knows what im thinking, ive been fucking sitting around watching videos and playing games all day bc i had one off work, i was thinking earlier about this song when i watched a behind the scenes for JW4 and now its just here first on recommended, weird..
I flew out the window in cinema when i heard that. But, to be honest i was full awesome power at all the this movie. One thing i regret is taking only one 200 ml of great substance to enhance it, should take at least two...
