Two musicians have earned a greeting from legendary Hollywood film composer John Williams by playing his theme from "Star Wars" outside of his Los Angeles home. (July 19)

John Williams is a very gracious man for going out there & meeting them like that. (The musicians were actually pretty good.) I've probably enjoyed listening to his music even more than Springsteen's or U2's.

He really is. I had the honor of meeting and thanking Mr. Williams at Tanglewood for his 90th bday this year. When he entered the Shed there he shook everyone's hands on the way to his seat in the crowd. I only got to thank him and got a quick selfie with him.

Can you imagine living in the time of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, etc. & as a young musician, standing in front of their home & playing their signature work? That's exactly what happened here, but I don't know if you'd get nearly as cordial a reception as Williams displays. He's known in the film & music industry as, not only a musical genuis, but a true gentleman with class. As a man in his 90's, he's still going strong & continues to create astonishing works. Here's 2 talented young players, performing for the Maestro in tribute, but it was Williams who came out to personally express HIS gratitude! What a beautiful story to share.

If you are a celebrity you have to deal with all your fans all the time. That's how it is. As long as keep it simple, and don't over do it. I often wait for my celebrities for autographs at Genting Highland restaurants after their supper after concerts. Sometimes they even photograph with me.
