Below is a highlight on one of the top over all prospects for the Class of 2012. As a sophomore Johnathan ran for close to 2,800 yards and had 50 TD's while leading his team to the 4A state title. You may have heard of Gray's great season. Now Im going to show it to you. Enjoy!!!

I was a receiver for this kid in the '09 season. I blocked for him alot and he is a smart running back. The kid is a badass.

TO ALL OF YOU HATERS: You are just jealous he is a three-peat state champion. Without a team a running back is nothing. Not to mention all of the records he has broken; including nationwide. Yall are just mad he is going somewhere in life.

You guys talking about tackling? What film were you watching? He never even gets touched by a defensive player in 95% of those runs! Give props to the Aledo offensive lineman too, he's running through mammoth holes. That being said, his speed and vision are unbelievable. I saw him play in person at Cowboys stadium last year vs LaMarque in the state championship game and just like this highlight film, he's a man among boys out there. He would dominate in 5A too. He's the real deal. Again, you gu

Though I believe he's more physically gifted he most assuredly has the 2 traits that made James great. His vision and his acceleration. Not arguing that he has great blocking but his vision and acceleration allows him to find the hole and then hit it.

I can't wait to see both Gray and Brown in the same backfield next year at Texas. They may help them improve to a better record then this year since they have a loss of two games already.

I heard Brown will sit out next year, so he and Gray can play together for three straight years. Gray will carry the team in 2012, but from there on it will be Brown and Gray running wild for Texas. This is just a suggestion by someone, but maybe it could happen.

That's funny. You mad because A&M had the balls to make the move like texas never could? Nah nah, you must be mad because Trey Williams is simply better than Gray, and played in a tougher division. Hey but it's ok you angry little longhorn, I would be mad too if my program was in decline and could never seem to get close to develop all these top flight recruits into their potential. The Aggies will be playing on national television every week bud, something you're not used to in the Big Xii :)

@DiscoTony, you obviously don't know what "rhetorical question" means, but leaving that aside it was still a stupid question. There is no rule in Texas like the one in Mass that was the basis of the call you are referring to, so what happened at the Mass state championship is irrelevant. Besides, the refs call at the Mass State Championship was widely panned and was clearly a bad call.

@SCREWSTATEOFMIND yo its not that the teams he faced were weak...his high school (Aledo) is the #1 ranked 4A high school in texas, they won state this year..and i talked to my friend that plays varsity defensive line at my high school (Waco High) that played against Aledo this year in the State playoffs and he told me "he is a beast RB no doubt, but alot of the credit goes to his offensive line..they're all like 400lbs that block for him like crazy" haha

couple things.. do people really think texas football sucks by watching this guys highlights and because he is only from a 4a school? thats absurd! i will personally send you a magazine that specifically says how many recruits come out of texas which is always more than florida and cali each year. also i honestly think it doesnt matter if your a 5a 4a 3a or 6 man football team.. in texas there is talent everyone so that doesnt take away any of jgs talent hes good.. a.p came from a 3a school suck

@Cavs3pt 55- Skyline Sammamish WA 12-2 48 Washington 4A State Champions. Skyline avenged its only in-state loss to Bothel, but Oaks Christian (CA) not making a CIF Bowl game hurts their final strength of schedule. The nation's No. 1 ranked QB, Jake Heaps, goes out a three-time state winner. i found two..didnt count the texas teams...this team should be ranked higher but its competition is tougher....also belvue was on the list. We produced the best qb in the country.

@johnnyreb1025 no, gray will get some carries, but he'll never be as good as brown. brown is almost as fast as gray, and he'll run a motherfucker over. gray can only run around. and its not just brown and gray a lot of people are forgetting about joe bergeron, one of the most underrated recruits in america. gray was fucking stupid for picking texas.
@mteixeira23

dont get me wrong hes good but when he played us he had 40 carries 200 yards...our runningback had 28 carries 234 yards...and there offensive line is huge im a defensive end(5'9,232lbs)and the guy i went against was 6'8 285...huge offensive line, there qb pretty good too,we had a chance to beat them tho but they are no slouch

Guys a beast dont get me wrong...great vision and speed but I'd rather have Malcolm Brown start... I was more impressed with his video than this..Grays line opens huge holes for him and he just runs around the defenders... Brown runs over guys..thats what you want to see more of..plus Gray played in a weak 4A conference

He's good but I guess none of you can notice only someone who's played football before could, but none of his hoggs (OL) look like they no shorter than 6'1 so throw some love there way too. They all should have been arrested and jailed for letting him put up 8 rushing TD's in a Dam State Championship Game on LaMarque. Tragic Tragic Tragic

Malcomb Brown is the best in the nation! Aledo is small 4A school, couldn't hang with Denton Ryan or Lake Travis,LT quaterback Brewer is the best in texas , in5A also better than Walsh.4A is way tougher than 5A.Ryan played like crap, they are 10 times better than they played, their def front 7, is the best in the State in the Coaches poll

I played against him when they won their first state championship. Got to say it was a heartbreaking loss in the state finals, but the boys a hoss. He took us for 252 yards and 4 tds (His four tds from this game were all at UTs stadium so yall can find those runs)

Malcolm Brown is the all-purpose (strength, speed, vision etc.) back that could very easily be a star. Jonathan Gray seems to have great vision and speed, but lacks a little in size from what I can see, but doesn't really do anything jaw-dropping like Brown. They're different backs, so we'll see

There was excellant blocking, but this kid looks like he knew, and even anticipated where they were going to be. He is a disciplined runner, hits the corner with speed, runs through arm tackles, and when he gets out in the open, he's gone.
