Johnathan McGriff and Cole Anthony went head to head at CP3 Rising Stars Camp. The two Class of 2019 guards had several big time exchanges were it seemed like neither player could miss from behind the three point arc. Cole Anthony led his team to a 93-92 victory scoring 36 points while shooting nearly 65% from three point range. Johnathan McGriff scored 23 points and dropped 5 dimes while shooting 70% from three point range. Both players are considered amongst the top guards in the Class of 2019.
Although this was a big time battle, it wasn't their first meeting. Check the annotations for the last time these two went head to head. CP3RS15

John Mcgriff Ok good young fella. I play talent league in europe and from my experience its best to just us enough to get by so you spare energy. But I at least know you did it for the scouts and not in a real game situation. you're gonna be big tho. I was 5'7 at 15 then I went to 6'3 at 17

Sure McGriff was playing around but when time get serious I bet he blows by you in a heart beat but Cole Anthony is nice he keeps it real simple. Simple you are the more buckets you get not trying to get freaky or nothing just BUCKETS!

They gotta start teaching these kids how to make a living off defense. i've watched alot of vids of these 2 kids & in almost every vid the defenders are playing horrible D. Bad footing, hands down, over reacting to ball.... Son why are you overplaying his left, when the hoop is to his right???

the shorter kid (McGriff), seems to dribble way 2 much more than needed.. he already has the quickness to make his move the first time.. IMO seems focused to much on shaking opponent instead of making a play the first time

McGriff really improved his shot. He played at my school Riverdale Baptist. Before all he had were the handles and flashy passes, his shot was beyond broken. Now look at him, keep grinding and working hard.
