Welcome back to Part 2 of our deep-dive series into the iconic world of Johnny Walker. In this episode, we're taking you on a journey through the brand's extensive range of bottles, from the humble Red Label to the luxurious Blue Label.
We kick things off with a real-time counter that tracks Johnny Walker's staggering sales figures-8.64 bottles sold every single second! We then delve into the history and unique characteristics of each bottle in the lineup. Starting with the Red Label, we explore its origins, flavor profile, and why it's the world's best-selling Scotch whisky since 1945.
But we don't stop there. We weigh each bottle to give you an idea of the quality you're getting, and you'll be surprised at what we find. From the Black Label's rich history to the Green Label's unique all-malt blend, we cover it all. We even touch on the Gold and Platinum labels, discussing their intricate blends and market positioning.
For those who appreciate the finer things, we give special attention to the Blue Label, discussing its meticulous cask selection process and why it's considered one of the best whiskies in the world.
Stay tuned for Part 3, where we'll be doing a full tasting review of every single bottle in the Johnny Walker lineup. And if you haven't already, make sure to check out Part 1 where we delve into the rich history of the Johnny Walker brand.
Don't forget to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel for more in-depth whisky content. Cheers!

Another brilliant video, full of info and details, congrats!. Two extra info bits regarding Gold and Blue Labels: Gold Label was developed originally as a 15 yo blend in 1990 and launched in Japan, and in 1992 it had a Kilmarnock edition celebrating its 400 years as a burgh. In 1995 it was relaunched as a 18 yo. Blue Label, on the other hand, had a predecessor in 1987 named JW Oldest, with the same bottle design and blue color in the label developed by Tom Jago and James Espey, with a rather unique (and indeed out of law-ish) age statement as it has a 15 to 60 years old mention in its bottle and box in its first edition and which was dropped immediately after (I have one of those unique bottles). In 1992 it was decided to rename it as Blue Label. Cheers!

Amazing - this is great. We are going to be jumping into the details about some of the more iconic JW bottles in their own videos and the Green and Blue are the main ones! Do you have a favourite from the lineup?

Great opportunity for some lucky whisky drinkers to buy a liquid gem and a piece of history as well. If I lived in Europe I would definitely buy a sample, but geographical limitations make it really difficult for me. Cheers!

Very enjoyable episode. Be good to also have an episode on all various blue label bottle variations. Also I still have a bottle of the Gold label 18 YO centenary blend and 15 YO pure malt both from around year 2000

You missed one of the most unique differences in green label with the others in the lineup... it's the only 43% abv. If Diageo brought back the green, then why are they not bumping their basic abv to at least to 43 for the other "premium" bottles???

I’m sorry in my opinion the RU-vidr is very obvious it looks as a marketing person of Jw I like some of them of course, but make statements like “blue label is one of the best ..l”, it is too aggressive Just my opinion and I can be wrong
