The Tonight Show was so laid back and non-glamorous in the 60s. Johnny is so ""new" here. It didn't really get glamorous until the 70s. Thx for uploading these old show clips.
I like it a lot better in the 60s. Sometimes a bit boring but really interesting. Johnny knew how to dress too as he did in the 70s! The gentlemanly quality still upholds here. Many of his peers had it. Jack Paar, Steve Allen, Dick Cavett, Dick Clark, John Charles Daly, Milton Berle, Garry Moore (I've Got a Secret), Joe Franklin. People who came along later like Tom Snyder, Merv Griffin, Mike Douglas, and even David Letterman had it!
