If you haven’t seen that movie Heat with Burt Reynolds… Watch it. In my opinion, one of the best he ever made. His acting skill was excellent in that film.
Dick Shawn wa such a force of nature on stage... And, like many of the greats (Tommy Cooper for example) he died onstage, doing what he loved, not half a year after this show aired. Thank you sir for all the entertainment you gave us.
Burton Leon Reynolds Jr. (February 11, 1936 - September 6, 2018) was an American actor, considered a sex symbol and icon of 1970s American popular culture.
I remember Shawn appearing on Ed Sullivan in the 1950s. Did essentially the same routine questioning existence, religion, evolution. He was one of the first social critics couched in a comedy format.
He made a few comments regarding politics, but did not spread misinformation, or hate like some these days. I don't watch any of them for those reasons. Not tuning in to hear someone's opinions and hate speech. JC used talent and intelligence to do his show. A little ribbing is o.k. But making false statements like they're facts to influence the masses, is another. No respect for that.
@@gmoney8585.. I'm pretty sure because Johnny started off the conversation about his 1972 Cosmopolitan photo spread . Something Burt has always regretted doing.
