I lived in both Wyoming and Montana. There was a Wyoming cowboy that won some money gambling and put out a Country & Western album (it was horrible) but he put his pickup truck on the cover. And they always made fun of Montana bars, since gambling was legal there. Signs said "Liquor in front and Poker behind".

I'm from Ossining NY a prison town Sing Sing. When there was executions the lights dimmed on the streets or so was the reputation. I assume that's the reference in New Jersey meaning most fathers are in prison death row
