I read somewhere that Carson jogged. He was cute.I always liked that curtain behind him, it's so pretty with all those colors.1982...I was 21.His monologs are full of history. He and Bob Hope are the icons of American stand up comedy. I don't think my parents ever missed an episode of this.I watched it even as a child, during summers.

Mr. Carson may have jogged but unfortunately, he also smoked and it was his smoking that ultimately led to the emphysema that killed him

Alright, I'll update the description to include that info. In my defence, I posted this a while back, and would've included that info nowadays. And this channel's specific focus is Calgary TV broadcast history, not TV history in general. (Note the unique CFCN logo they added to the Tonight Show graphic in this case, and my description "..as it aired on CFCN at 12:00 AM on Monday October 4 1982.") But again, you still have a good point. Thanks for watching and pointing that out. All the best!

CFCN is CTV Calgary. But I thought Global was the national station that aired “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” during the 70’s up until his last show in 1992.
