You got that right sister. He was into drugs before The world new what they were .I'm abfriend of Johnny's.Asbtge 60s bumper stickers bused to say. I love um all..RoseAnn being my favorite...Anyone know her tell her David says Hey .
hirdy6 I feel the same...their marriage was made in heaven. Oh, just a little tidbit of information I wish to share...on one the award shows, two other singers performed this duet, and discussed the fact that they didn't know what "Ja-Pan Fan," meant. Think about it...where do we import many small items from? Japan. So, when June sang," I'll be dancing on a pony keg...they'll lead you 'round town like a scolded hound, with your tail tucked between your legs...I'll be waiting in Jackson, behind my JA-PAN fan." She simply put the accent on a different syllable.
When you put a Pisces with a Cancer together it creates an explosion of feelings. The chemistry between these two signs is astronomical. Keep in mind I'm not a astrology enthusiast, but I've seen a lot of pairs formed from these two signs.
So telling about how strong that love is when he is coughing and right in the middle of the song, June looks back and asks, "You okay?" off mike, and he nods. And, then she still looks concerned at him. That's real love. They love the audience, but it's really just the two of them up there together.
Hot damn! It's 1964 and I'm five years old, my aunt is 16 and we're in the middle of the living room on Christmas day singing this song to the top of our lungs!!! HOT DAMN!
I love this song, my mom, and dad would sing it, and dance around in the living room, or kitchen, when it came on the radio, all the time. Daddy, would take her and swing her to it, in the living room. Then they'd laugh.
That's so nice ur parents really love each other u don't find that kind of love that much these days and the memories of u witnessing that must of been just wonderful! U are very fortunate to have those beautiful memories I wish I had that!!
since I watched the movie "walk the line" i've fallen in love with these two.....he absolutely loved June, and they were simply fantastic for each other !
1.4K are simply ignorant. This is a timeless classic song by country's greatest couple ever. A big kiss my ass song on both accounts!!! I listen to this song daily!!! "Yeah go to Jackson, you big talkin man!" Ahhhh!!!
I saw Johnny in concert in a small auditorium venue in Bakersfield, CA in the early 1960s. June Carter joined him on stage. They were not married at that time, but there were certainly sparks between them. You could almost see and feel the electricity. It was great fun to be there and see the two of them perform. : )
Javier Fernandez hey you yanks try to get along this is. What make America great. If you don't like it move to canada. On second thought you better not. I am Canadian and would not want to hear all this bullshit. God bless canada
Johnny Cash and June Carter will always be legends and two of the best in music history. As one, none was better. God bless them. What memories. Hotter than a pepper sprout.
Damn I'd watch walk the line over and over when id get home from school when I was younger.. Phoenix did a perfect performance of Johnny cash. Same with Reese as June :/
+Hugh Jass Yes! I felt the interpretation of Johnny and June's electric chemistry MORE by way of Joaquin and Reese in the movie than in this performance. Joaquin and Reese did an incredible job in Walk the Line.
ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE PEOPLE DID NOT LIKE JUNE AND JOHNNY DOING "JACKSON"? How could ANYONE not like this video? Has long been one of my very favorite duets!
Fuck! I wish we could go back to music like this....Hear that guitar and their harmony......that's what I'm talking about.....those are the days when you went to a concert to see your favorite artist and you came home exhausted and happy and giddy....like you've been out the entire day......that feeling is gone, you don't feel that nowadays......
They were heads over heels in love with each other...a love so beautiful ...Joaquim Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon portrayed their best in the movie WALK THE LINE.
Now that's love. What they had was amazing, and I can't help this huge smile on my face I get when I watch them perform together or read/hear a story about them. There was something so wonderful and genuine there, and it's really beautiful. RIP Johnny and June
Saw him, June, John Jr, & Roseanne in concert when I was a kid in Lynden, WA, I feel privileged to have been able to witness such a legend, never appreciated until I was old enough to understand what I had witnessed, thanks Mom for turning me on to his music, I pass it down to my own kids now.
1,074 people gave this a thumbs down?... really?... How can you not feel the love that they shared for each other. It doesn't matter what version I watch of them performing this song, I always end up grinning from ear to ear.
When they met and he was married, no matter what his wife had done, June was his soul mate , he just hadnt waited for her to come into his life . True Awesome Love !
Same thing with my Mom leaving my Dad. It was the best thing for everyone and now they are happy with their mates. True love is true love. It's all consuming. I love that Johnny and June made it work till death do us part (and beyond, I truly believe).
This program and Playboy after dark in the late 60s and early 70s put all other musical television programs to shame. There was a real relaxed fun feeling that has never been repeated.
EXCELLENT. ALSO THE MOVIE WAS VERY WELL MADE & ENJOYABLE. REESE WITHERSPOON WAS AMAZING I THINK SHE DESERVED ACADEMY AWARD GOLDRN GLOBE & OTHER AWARDS FOR THIS MOVIE.
I just finished watching it too! That's what brought me here probably just like you hahaha! I thought Reese and Joaquin both did an amazing job! The only dig was Joaquin's singing was a lot deeper than Johnny's voice and the tempo was also slowed down considerably but if that's what they had to do to allow them to sing the songs themselves and get it as close as they can, then I think they did an awesome job! Talk about a powerful love story.
I love these two very much and this is what loves all about. If you can find somebody you just love them and you don't care about who they are and what they've been through or whatever and you just hang on to them. I hope I find that one day I don't know. I'm getting older. Jim Carter and Johnny Cash. They are just peas in the pod, peas and pod and she just a spitfire. She was old and he probably don't most. You probably don't know but she was a little bit older than he was and it didn't matter. She loved him. They were just two peas in the pod and when he lost her his love is alive. He just stopped living life because he wanted to be with her there in heaven and they're still dancing and singing just like they were as they were for all of us. They gave us a lifetime of music. That's how I look at things. Go ahead. I was told that nobody I'm not allowed to cuss or anything like that and I'm and I was going to cut me off RU-vid. Go ahead. I don't really give a s*** you know what you can do. You can kiss my American white ass
