@@ronvansoversame this timeline of Logan will always be the greatest timeline of him as wolverine, let’s see what Disney does with him but won’t overwrite his 20th century fox legacy
Logan’s death wasn’t just sad movie-wise, but a poetic ending to nearly 2 decades of High Jackmans role as the character. Truly one of the most iconic portrayals
@@SocialistCthulhu444 that's literally being done. Maisie Williams is in it. It's called "new mutants" and there's a comic series called X-Men 2099 which involves them and a ton of other new awesome mutants
Logan was a bit underrated. Not many people have the balls to end a franchise/property/genre like this. It doesn't need a sequel because the ending was satisfying enough
John W.B “It wasn’t like the comic” isn’t a good reason to dislike a movie. That’s like saying Infinity War was bad because Thanos wasn’t to impress Death.
When Logan said “So this is what it feels like” right before he died, I’m pretty sure it had 2 meanings. The first being the feeling of dying, and the second being the feeling of truly loving someone (X-23)
At last one last Human being understood it in depth.. Mostly to be Loved by A Daughter, which he never had in Cinematic Live Action saga That's the Meaning
Watched him first 17 years ago at 4 years old, now i watched him die at 21. Crazy how a fictional character can be such a huge part of your life. Wolverine is one of those roles that they cant redo, Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine.
Keegan McNally Same, that shit was sad AF. 😭 They can "fill in" the role, but they can NEVER replace the legend that is Hugh Jackman. PLUS this song makes it EVEN MORE F**ING SAD! 😭😭
He and Ian mckellen as Gandalf have always comforted me. The wisdom they speak both in and out of character has been a comfort in the darkest of times like my fathers passing a couple months ago
Johnny Cash and Logan are very similar. Both were born with extraordinary talents Both of them faced hardship throughout their life. Both of them dealt with forces that they couldn’t control. Both of them lost friends and family. Both of them faced inner demons and struggled with themselves. Both of them ultimately found love and redemption. Both of them died in peace.
@@theengineer9910 I think theres a reason for it. Most like "lone samurai" legends actually surround Ronin after the fall of the shogunate. A lot if very skilled samurai suddenly had no orders to follow. And I think that maps up surprisingly well with the american west post civil war. Suddenly, all these men who were trained to kill were aimless in the vast and Lawless Old West. And both time periods were after massive societal upheaval. The gunslingers of the Old West were the closest thing america has ever had to the wandering samurai
NO ONE can replace hugh jackman for this part... he was destined for it, literally the looks, the beard, the acting, the facial expressions and features and the emotions he gave to the audience, no one will ever do the same. Which worries me, to the future of it all
I think if and when the FOX/Disney deal officially goes through and they merge it, if they decide to choose a different cast it will be easier to move on. But since they put Hugh in the last X-Men movie it will be hard to consider that canon if they choose to keep the current cast cause they would have to find a new Wolverine which would limit their casting options cause he would have to then be a middle aged guy. But then again that's probably for the best that he's middle aged. Ah fuck it they'll figure it out when the deal is officially done. Which it's still not. Still got some more things to do.
I hurt myself today To see if I still fell I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hole The old familiar sting Try ti kill it all away But I remember everything What Have I become My sweediest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end And you can have it all My empire of durt I will let you down I will make you hurt I wear this crown of thorns Upon my liars chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot reppair Beneath the stains of time The feeling disappear You are someone else I still right here And you could have it all My empire of durt I will let you down I will make you hurt I will keep myself I would find a way
The point of this? You think cash is scrolling through random RU-vid vids reading your comment? Youre trying to farm likes on RU-vid of all places because you Americans with your cheeseburger IQ actually think internet points mean something.
i dont see what's your talking about when i type logan the movie come up and not logan paul maybe the reason logan paul shows up for you is that you maybe watch him
This song is a reminder of my failures, my past mistakes, the hurt I gave to others and myself. And then it reminds me that I still have time to correct and be better and minimise my mistakes in the present day. Thank you so much for this song, for this movie, for this reminder. 🙏🏻
(The Wolverine) Yukio: I see you on your back. There's blood everywhere. You're holding your own heart in your hand. (End of Logan) Logan: *holds on to Laura's hand* So this Is what it feels like.
Trent Reznor with the lyrics, Johnny Cash with the amazing interpretation, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Dafne Keen with their marvelous acting and James Mangold with his incredible direction of a movie masterpiece.
I always come back to this song, no matter how good or bad life is going, this song always reminds me that I still have time, you still have time to do whatever you want, chase whatever and whoever. Be that person you're meant to be and complete your story arc like Logan. Thank you Hugh Jackman.
Damn that ending hit me so hard. The whole movie hit me hard. It wasn't a superhero movie, it was a story of survival. I've been binging marvel avenger films, but this is so much better than any of them
Logan: Where we're going, "Eden..." It doesn't exist. The nurse got it from a comic book. You understand? It's not real,Charles Xavier: It is for Laura... Charles Xavier: It is for Laura. 30 something minutes in Logan: Go... Don't be what they made you. Logan: Laura. Laura: Daddy. Logan: So... this is what it feels like. HOW THE HELL DID AN X-MEN MOVIE GET SO EMOTIONAL?!?
Logan, What did you do? Charles the World is not the same as it was, Mutants, they're gone now. Who is she? She's like you, very much like you. She needs our help. Someone will come along. Someone has come along. Logan, You still have time.
"I saw you die. I see you on your back. There's blood everywhere. You're holding your own heart in your hand" That quote from The Wolverine fits final scene from Logan in a perfect way
Lyrics: I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hole The old familiar sting Try to kill it all the way But I remember everything (Chorus) What have I become My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end And you can have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I wear this crown of thorns Upon my liars chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot repair Beneath the stains of time The feelings dissappear You are someone else I am still right here (Chorus) What have I become My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end And you can have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt If i could start again A million miles away I would keep myself I would find a way
May He Rest In Heaven. May He Be Remembered. May He Be a Legend, Not A Myth. May He Be Respected. May He Never Be Replaced. May He Be at Peace. No One Can or Shall Replace, We'll Make Sure. No One Can or Shall Insult, We'll Stop Them. No One Can or Shall Disrespect, We'll Put An End To It. May He Stay In Our Hearts, Logan, The Wolverine, The One Who Started It All.
Cause its the end of the x men series. Though honestly they didn't answer what the hell happened after Apocalypse. Like something obviously happened that somehow nearly all mutants died or something.
"shes like you" "very much like you" best quote of charles xavier so this is how it feels like- Logan don't be what they made you- logan so this how it feels like people love each other i think- charles nothing from laura except something in spanish haha
R.I.P. James Logan Howlett, my childhood hero for 17 years... may someone give justice to the character like Hugh Jackman did... yet that is too much to ask for
Aleex Martiinez nah,he said hes retired, probably a recast, but he also said he might give it a try if its an interesting project, and disney has bought most of fox's assets, disney owns most of marvel, which means the avengers.avengers and xmen vs thanos in the second half of infinity war?🤔🤔🤔
Blu-Ray Hindi I asked the same thing once to my friend... the bigger question is why the hell he legitimately had files of songs all so specifically categorized.
Three greatest achievements in superhero cinema: - The Dark Knight, for its realism and grimness - Deadpool, for its humor and excitement - Logan, for its pure connection and finalizing the incredible journey of a lone soldier Logan may be gone, but the Wolverine lives on.
LYRICS: I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hole The old familiar sting Try to kill it all away But I remember everything What have I become My sweetest friend Everyone I know goes away In the end And you could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I wear this crown of thorns Upon my liar's chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot repair Beneath the stains of time The feelings disappear You are someone else I am still right here And you could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I would keep myself I would find a way
Thanks... but you don't really have to write those. People don't deserve to know if they dont already know the lyrics to hurt by the legend johnny cash
@@PapiSnugAF I believe the original quote was from the end of Shane, an old western movie. But they do play that clip in the movie Logan and its said during his funeral
I'm just writing this comment to say thank you, to Johnny Cash, and the people behind this movie and song. My dad died 3 months, 2 days and 2 hours ago, and even thought it was expected, since his body had already been fighting cancer for more then 1 year, the pain was, and still is, almost unbearable sometimes. And for some reason, at start, I couldn't even cry. I could feel a black hole inside, that was going to devastate everything, but even so, I couldn't cry. Then I heard this song, in my room... and I just started crying, and crying, and crying. It was the trigger I needed, really being able to feel like Cash was telling me that although no one understands, it's ok to feel and break down. For this, I thank everyone who made this song possible. You have no idea how helpful this was, at making it hurt just a little less. And even though I miss you every day, dad, and the pain is always there to remind me, and even though the song is name hurt, I thank it for making it hurt a little less.
This movie had one purpose... to send of the wolverine and Hugh Jackman made it happen to tell one final story, the purest Logan story on screen. Hope more superhero movies follow of the last x-man.
Joel destroyed lives and fucked over humanity. Logan managed to possibly enable the safety and continued survival of mutantkind while fully reconnecting with his humanity with his last breath.
Caden Does Gaming Ur too young to watch rated r movies ? But by looking and judging you by your grammar, you don't look like a young fella. May I ask you how old are u ?
Full ny thing Is Logan did survive the snap it's also tragic cause he watched everyone around him vanish....he stood there broken and the knowledge knowing he had to fight as he always had too...he doesn't want too he just knows theres always a war.

My favorite super hero of all time has been Wolverine since I was about 10 years old. I'm 38 years old now. I saw this movie in the theater with my ex on opening weekend while we were on vacation in Ann Arbor. I cried my eyes out when Logan died. The actors and everyone who worked on this movie did their jobs correctly and more on point than anybody else in the history of the world in my opinion. Well played, EXTREMELY well played.
um... the character logan/wolverine is owned by marvel and so is the X - Men, but the MOVIE/TV FRANCHISE is owned by 20th century Fox, right? isn't that it? Sorry if I'm wrong. :)
So caught up in company politics. But if you wanted to really get into nitty gritty. Marvel owns all Marvel. That's why they're still making comic books with characters all mashed together. On screen is in pieces. So Marvel movie is any Marvel owned character. So Men In Black could be a favorite Marvel Movie.
Thank you Hugh Jackman for giving us so many years of amazement and memories as a Marvel character I love. Appreciate it all. This movie was so many words.
