Yes! Brandon has such a pure, powerful singing voice. I absolutely love how much his singing has developed on his last couple albums. He just gets better and better. I can't wait for his next solo album.
It's been almost 5 years since I saw this originally, and I check back every now and then to see if any of them recorded an actual version... I'm still waiting... I love me some Johnny Cash but this is much like the Across the Universe movie, some songs are great as they are but can be turned into a lot more.
*Johnny Cash - Out Among The Stars (with Brandon Flowers, The Dawes, Father John Misty, Local Natives)* We went to the Californian desert with Brandon Flowers from The Killers, Dawes , Father John Misty and Local Natives They covered songs from Out Among the Stars, Johnny Cash's posthumous studio album released through Legacy Recordings last week. Here is the stunning video we did.
your right joshua ive heard a lot of people that tried to sing johnny cash what a dissapointment but Brandon and father john that is now a tribute to johnny cash
Three very great tributes. Being a huge fan of Local Natives, I am most fond of their cover. They never seize to amaze me; making such a beautiful song their own. Bursting with creativity...quite honestly put me to tears myself.
This is a video/music I have to came back to every couple months to center and recalibrate myself, and be reminded that music is magic. These performances and this production is so real and heavenly.
Local Natives sound absolutely gorgeous- its incredible how they never ever fail to impress me when i think that I've heard them at the best they can be. this is just beautiful and I have no other words just please never stop making music:)
I love that moment at 4:38: the transition between the sincerity of Brandon Flowers' rendition of that beautiful song and the first shot of FJM. It is really funny. Great editing !
Great Video! The local natives always have such cool harmonies. Its amazing how Kelcey belts so effortlessly and top of that, they still manage to keep that blend tight.
wow! this is fantastic!! and I really enjoyed the performance of Local Natives. great interpretation!! i need to check this band out! I appreciate Johnny Cash and all of the three musicians did a great job. that's a nice little movie. good one!!
