Had to remastered this one. No Official Video, so I made one. My first one wasn't in Color, because my Video editing program was having an issue..... so here's the color version.
As a Pakistani I always thought American Music is just Micheal Jackson, Madonna etc. But this here amazed me to the core. What a beautiful, deep and penetrating in the soul, voice this guy Johny Cash has, giving me goose bumps more I listen.
The greatest thing about music is it transcends all differences. It touches the soul which is present in all. Here I am, a Caribbean woman, enjoying the.music of Johnny Cash. Awesome stuff
No lip syncing for this great performance by Johnny Cash. This video is paired with the original studio recording, but here a link to the actual live video/audio performance at the Ryman Concert Hall in Nashville, August 1968. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uXTzp0cNb3o.html
@@WayWardProductionztrue but he's lip syncing his own singing. It's Not A Milli vanilli type of thing. And he's not performing live He's doing it for the video.
Johnny has symbolized the best of country music for so many years. It was a sad day when we lost him but the memories will go on forever. Thanks to Johnny. RIP
No offense never heard of him. But I heard 2 songs already and this is pure trash. I don't mean to be mean but what's so special about this horrible song?
Props to the sound on this one. The background singers complement the lead nicely, and the brass players are in the mix without blowing everyone else away.
*Grande Johnny Cash!, su música es el auténtico country y esas trompetas tan Mexicanas* 🇲🇽 Al noroeste de México también existió el viejo oeste, gracias por compartir esta joya! 🙌🏽
I really like the Mexican style trumpets. They and also the Carter family make this song a classic worth listening to periodically. Also, I'd like to thank the author VDJ MikeyMike for going to all this trouble of producing a colorized version of this remastered song.
I still remember and have a soft spot for the songs I listened to on the big radio, with my grandmother, in the early 60's. I especially loved this one, and didn't know enough about music to realize it sounded unique because of the trumpets on a country song, no less. Flash forward 30 years or so, and it got even better: Johnny didn't write this song--June Carter co-wrote it with another writer. So cool! I think I post this same comment everywhere at one time or another. Sorry about that.
Loved this one since I was a little kid. My cousin and I used to dance around a coffee table playing this song over and over while our mother sat in the kitchen having coffee at the kitchen table. (Maybe that should have been called a coffee table!) He was a year older than me and when he grew up he worked as a mechanic in our hometown. He died of a heart attack suddenly about 15 years ago without warning or any known health problems. I think of him every time I hear this song.
i was in a little cafe in San Antonio Texas. the cafe still had those little jukebox at your table but PA though out every other table ,i played Ring of Fire Every creed color nationality old young and kids i swear all knew the song and words! all sang their dear hearts out and then CHEERED it was FELLOWSHIP
As a Latin American dude who has never heard this song before , my reaction was like "Wait, this sounds very mexican, it´s great!". / Como un mae latinoamericano que nunca antes ha escuchado esta pieza, mi reacción fue como "Suave un toque, esto suena muy mexicano, ¡qué pichudo!"
You hear a trumpet and you think everything is Mexican. Pathetic! This song was written by his wife June Carter, and she doesn't have any connection with Mexico.
When asked in interview , years after this seminal song s release, ...' and what do you do when your in a restaurant, with your family you havn't seen in months (due to touring) , and a fan comes up with an autograph book and sticks it under your nose'? and his answer was 'I put my fork down ' what a man What a songwriter, What a LEGEND :D
You can not single out any one of his songs as greatist . Johny sung what he felt . The persona change when he wore black was real black was his door to let his soul sing out . This was his greatness . In doing so he helped us all to feal more deaply . His swan song cover Hurt sumed up his life as a last bit of wisdom for us all . The creatior of the song. New that Jony would bring this song to its best . To hear original by it creator then hear Johny form. Proves you must live what you sing abought for the emotions to flow fromusic and song . Sorry for being long winded. But I must be RIP JOHNY❤️❤️❤️
I am so grateful to have gone from being that little girl on the farm listening to Johnny Cash to listening to rock, punk and new wave, metal, classical and back there's nothing more pure and more American than Johnny. They just don't make them like they used to and it didn't have to be this way. ❤🇺🇸❤
I was just 5 yo when this song came out but when I was older I just gravitated to this song and to all of Johnny Cash’s music even if I was a Beatles fan…
I'm a rocker and metal head! Have no use for country music, but a little while ago my wife watched a video that has the music of this song! And I couldn't believe it but I started singing to the music and I knew a lot of the lyrics! That a surprise to me because the only time I heard this song was when my mom played it! And that would have been about 45 years ago! 😂😂 as a teenager it had to of had some kind of impact on me to remember some words! Classic
The man who is bringing me into the country music genre at the age of 50! Never thought it would happen. Loved his and his wife's acting performance on Lttle House on the Prairie s3 e1.
Being raised in NYC I wasn't a fan of country music after being stationed in Beaufort SC for over a year I got used to it, all my friends listen to it and all the local bars is all they played. Johnny Cash was one of my favorites and now I love country music.
My father had Johnny Cash as his musical idol. He always had the vinyl on when I was visiting. My parents was divorced and I was with my father on the weekends sometimes. He said "Johnny Cash has a voice and a message when he sings". My now past away father didnt know a single word english.
Strange coincidence. I was working with a Spanish man twenty years ago in Ireland. One day the talk turned to Johnny Cash; it happened this Spanish guy liked his music and spent the rest of the evening talking about him and singing his songs. Next morning we turned on the radio for the news at morning tea-break; the first item we heard was "the American country singer Johnny Cash died last night". Great man, never forget him.
THE SONG,THE YEAR,THE ARTIST=IT TRULY HOLDS A LOT FOR ME🖤🖤MY PARENTS ANNIVERSARY IS TODAY,YES TODAY:6•2•1963(Sunday)🌹🌹🙏🙏💙💙 WILL NEVER EVER FORGET ALL THE MEMORIES WE SHARED TOGETHER🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹
No matter how this song is presented (and this is not one of the best!) Johnny Cash will be unique for ever. I am a Romanian and I know all his songs by heart...and those of the Highway Men.
