"What the fuck? I killed him!" "You been in the joint too long al, forgotten how to get shit done!" *zombie noises* "what the fuck?" "This ain’t right, somethin weird's goin on…" -MoTD intro cutscene Bo2 was probably the best game i ever played.
no kidding i would have never found out if not for your comment. never knew tom petty ripped on the acoustic like this. thanks for the knowledge. apparently they did _won't back down_ as well
I have always liked Johnny Cash. I heard a lot of his music as a child because my mother was a big fan of his. I don't dislike his version of this song but no one could ever sing it like Chris Cornell did. RIP Chris and Johnny.
Are you aware that the music and lyrics of the song were written by Soundgarden? I am not saying that you cannot like this version more, but show some respect. As one of the below comments says, "It's just what you prefer." I hope you are aware that originally the song is metal/hard rock, but this is a country rock version. So, if you don't like hard rock, or if you don't like Soundgarden's style, and if you like Johhny Cash, of course this version will sound a lot better for you. And for me, as a huge Soundgarden fan, this version has nothing better compared to the original one. It's just a matter of taste.
In 2016 I've been at Chris Cornell solo concert, so when he perfomed "Rusty Cage" with his guitar, he started playing it Jonny Cash manner, then continued to sing his version , and at the outro switched to this country style again. This was obvious he really liked the Cash cover .
i remember seeing chris on his higher truth tour back in 2015, and he covered this exact version here. before playing, he talked about actually writing this song for johnny at first, and then soundgarden took it. when they got big and they met johnny, the man in black asked if he could cover it. life has a funny way of working out, you know?
remasters should be for 128 bit era oldies like conkers bad fur day or metroid prime. the graphics on ps3 xbox360 black ops 2 are not in desperate need of a modern quality update. yet. @@AuazzyDiscontinued
because it costs resources that could otherwise be spent remastering the og cod trilogy. maybe that idea doesnt appeal to the mainstream audience of today, but for the millions worldwide who grew up on games like golden eye to call of duty, a remaster of those games would be money in the bank
I only wished the Man In Black would've had time to cut more rock songs, then became a Traveling Wilberry. He wouldve been a perfect fit. Remember, JC started out playing Rockabilly before he went country. -A Rocker at Heart 🎸💓
Love both Soundgarden and Cash, but gonna have to agree to disagree on that. The outro especially is lacking those powerful ass vocal belts that only Cornell could pull off. Rip to both legends
When I hear Cash sing the line "Im burning diesel, im burning dinosaurs bones" Even if its Cornells words, I feel the song become JRs own For some reason i felt that as both an environmentalist perspective and a view of his own antiquated music fitting in the modern age, Johnny Cash has thankfully been remembered as the legend he was and he will always be both a dinosaur (even in the 50s) till now long after his death, influencing everyone he touches always truly timeless and would be sounding as relevant now as then as he was around at any time even into the future
This is true country music the new era of "country music" so they call it or consider it as has nothing on true original country music. The 50's style country music that is true country music.
Hmmm. It is different. But the original is so full of energy and this is something different. To each there own. I love that he cover it but. It sounds like something was lost in translation.
