This was a really good Interview with Johnny Depp. He looks great, he looks healthy, and he's just very interesting and intelligent. I liked how Johnny recognized and voiced his opinion on the horrible movies that Hollywood has been putting out. Hollywood puts out crappy movies and I'm tired of it.

Congratulations on Jeanne Du Barry being released in London! I wish you good success. I saw this movie in Japan, and I loved it because the costumes were beautiful and the scenes were tasteful. I highly recommend it to everyone.
I really love this rendition of an interview because you can see the authenticity of the speaker talking and the interviewee. I also like the fact that you get to see it like from different perspectives as well and get to see how all of this is just a show a camera show like it’s not really how you think it is but I like it the ending because it shows you different perspectives of how everything really is. It’s not as grand as you think it is but The further step away from it the further real you see Johnny.

JD says exactly what everyone else has been thinking about formulaic Hollywood bilge and how fantastic it is for a visionary filmmaker and actor like Maiwenne to reset people’s perceptions about Du Barry….gosh I saw it 3 times when it came out and it is fantastic film- rich cinematically, historically interesting, funny, and very nuanced - it’s a film you think about after… I was in Paris / Versailles the Christmas after it came out and people were genuinely enthusiastic about the film- M and JD did a great job!!

Is it just me? I feel like you can sense his level of discomfort in his suit and giving interviews about the movie. A totally different Johnny than the smiling, happy, relaxed on stage playing guitar and singing Johnny. He's beautiful inside and out, but it's his inner sweetness that makes him so handsome to me.
I agree with your opinion on Hollywood. Movies tend to be a bit monotonous because character strategies and box office revenue take precedence. But there are also many artistic works. I understand that Johnny doesn't agree with the value of the guarantee for a movie role, but he is one of the great actors.
