@JaniFace - Interesting, isn't it? He's not afraid to let his shyness show in interviews and is willing to be "slow" so he can be thoughtful rather than glib. Yet in character he apparently ad libs and improvises with incredible speed. It's like the characters have less to "think" about or reflect on because their world is simpler than his own.

I don't like missing out on Johnny's voice. not being able to concentrate on the movie for subtitles is just another excuse to watch it again for me. LOL.

I agree completely- but then I am trying to imagine a haircut which DOESN'T look good on/suit THAT face. I am interested in the subject but as soon as I see him, before he says one word- that classic song by The Police, Every Breath You Take? Can't remember the title, "I'll be watching you...that song, the good intentions- ! ( I would love to meet Tim Burton, how he intuitively gets life's moments of the absurd and how to "exploit" them without getting into total farce. Namaste
That Johnny Depp respects the talents that came long before his time, speaks volumes. Basil Rathbone was a lost treasure of such intellect, a stunning figure! Depp, at this stage in his career exudes a mystical quality so rare, he stands alone! That this man dropped out of high school, listening to him speak --this was to be his fate. The physical beauty here is beyond measure. But the best is his humility, the gateway to true artistry. Amazing what this young guy, who literally stumbled into acting has become so iconic globally. Quite something!!!
Why is sleepy hollow a horror movie? I mean it's a great movie, but it's not really scary enough to earn that. But it's a great movie to watch on Halloween!!
agreed. I went to see it because it was advertised as a horror movie and was hugely disappointed as a horror fan because it's not. However it's a cute movie in its own right.
Because of the supernatural aspect of the movie. The headless horseman is dead obviously, rising up when summoned by a witch to behead whoever she commands him to. That's why it's listed as a horror film.
When he says phantom menace, I wonder if it was because this was the same exact year that Star wars episode 1 The phantom menace came out and it was on everyone's mind LOL
