I don’t understand how Amber’s lawyer has practiced as long as she has. Her smug and condescending way of speaking with witnesses, especially when they aren’t giving her the answers she wants, makes her incredibly unlikeable. There may be cases in which this is favorable to her client, but this case isn’t one of them. She has made people dislike Amber even more then they already do.

But her settlement was $7 mil which was a pittance to what she was asking for (and nowhere near 1/2 of his entire wealth, nor was it even close to 1/2 of what he earned during that time) so his lawyers did a good job considering he didn’t have a pre-nup or post-nup. A Pre-nup is always a good idea. That document can be whatever the parties want it to be, not just a “what’s mine is mine” document.
I think this case is so interesting to the public because this type of thing could happen to any of us. It happens more than we realize and it's not ok. He needs to win. Con artists like her need to know they can't get away with ruining someone's life with false allegations

i don’t know how much he cares about winning as much as he cares about being able to tell his truth and win public opinion. the op ed isn’t fully defamation as he’s never mentioned in it but she had defamed his character over all of these years in general. he just wasn’t able to sue over anything before the sun times article which he unfortunately lost and wasn’t granted a retrial so suing for defamation over the op-ed was the perfect chance to be able to finally get his side of the story out there! regardless i think this trial is a win for him!! Not taking any side - but we must remember, Amber still has to take the stand and present her side of the story too. She will have her evidences and her witnesses as well - that would be more explosive during cross-examinations. So before even completing the hearing of the whole case - we must not jump the guns. The restraining order was an extortion attempt to get whatever Amber wanted. The letter stated Amber wanted to keep living in Johnny's loft and wanted her sister and friends to remain living in the other 2 lofts and for Johnny to continue paying all the expenses OR ELSE in 3 days they were going to file the restraining order. Johnny was in Europe at the time and the police and everyone else stated Amber had no visible injuries after Amber alleges Johnny hit her. Then all of the sudden when she gets a restraining order she has an injury. This was all about control, Amber was trying to control Johnny and when she could no longer she made a plan to destroy him
It's a sad world where in this day and age a woman can make one false allegation about a man who has proven throughout years and years of time in the entertainment industry and by testimonials from ex-wives, and other actors that he had never been a violent man, and through this one lying, deceptive, slimy ladder crawling woman can be permitted to destroy a career that he had worked over twenty years to make. To me that is pathetic.

The divorce lawyer actually rolls her eyes at Ambers female lawyer oh my goodness… she was incredibly patient & I could tell she was also incredibly intelligent because she quickly picked up on things “isn’t this protected under 1154?” She knew the law better… incredible.
She's one of the most corrupt divorce attorneys in LA. She has ruined many lives by intentionally failing her clients while at the same time taking as much as she can in attorney fees from the victims. Milking their estate while intentionally making her clients lose custody.. it's horrible.

i reckon that's because she has to find her words more carefully. A lawyer is a lot more inclined to sue if the questions imply something slanderous about their character, actions etc since their reputation is on the line and will find it easier to ask for damages.
I would imagine that as a lawyer herself, the witness will be aware of any and all tactics used, and repeating things to trip them up and render them as unreliable is the only one she's got to go on. Every witness deemed unreliable is one less against AH, and that's the best they've got to cover the lies. The lawyer huffs, rolls her eyes, and smirks in a knowing manner to back up the fact she realises what is being attempted here.

I have already lost my faith in justice. Look around the US at the latest murder cases. Innocent people were convicted. Our system is corrupt. I’ve witnessed egregious abuses of power by judges and politicians in my own community. We have not paid attention for too long. We put blind faith and trust into people and put them in positions of power, and never looked back. Never watched what they were doing. Over time the American people have given away our power. Masses of people believe what they are told by the media and politicians without question. There are dark days ahead for this country and it is we, the American people, whom are ultimately at fault. I want Johnny to prevail. He has proven his case beyond a reasonable doubt in my opinion. Too many times we have all watched as favor is shown to the female. I worry that will happen in this case as well. However, I choose to remain positive and in his corner!
Even though the jury is not sequestered, they're instructed to stay offline and away from media covering the case. The average person would be shocked to learn how much their "personal opinion" is swayed by media or social-media. This is not a rock solid case for libel. JD losing his case would not be the fault of the system.
I had a friend like Amber, we had one year of doing fun things together and really connected, as far as I could tell. Then these strange little criticisms and paranoia began, and I tried overlooking or reassuring her. Then I was late calling her when she expected it and she went full-blown abusive, even sharing things I had said in confidence with people in order to hurt me and baraging me with mean texts and phone calls. I ended it quickly and will see it coming a mile off with anyone else in the future.

Truly, the point the Bible makes is that the LOVE of anything over TRUTH will always lead to evil, when things get to that point in someone's life it is an idol being worshipped. THIS CHICK'S idol is clearly herself. I found it very telling the personal assistant's testimony of how she was talked to and treated by AH. Even after he got himself in that situation, he could've simply woken up & left, stopped all contact as any attorney would've advised. The lesson everyone should be taking away from this is to Keep Your Nose Clean! Certainly this goes double for public figures/ celebs. Thank you JD for highlighting the proof of men being the victim and how women who have personality disorders can be so manipulative, and go too far. I can’t wrap my mind around , how people could believe her , when she said Johnny had allegedly hit her. Come on! She had no swelling, the pictures show some discoloration, but it’s just makeup. There was no swelling at all. At some point she was at a talk show “the day after “ the alleged incident,and there where no swelling whatsoever. Makeup artist said she had no marks or bruises. How could this person be believed? The fact that Johnny has been found guilty before even asking him at some point or even giving him the chance to explain himself. But this is a case of believing a female just because of gender. She has made it so hard for real victims of dv, to come forward and be believed, both female and male victims. She has actually helped abusers get away with it. And for that she should be forced to apologize publicly to all and admit she has been lying about ever being a victim at all. She should be set to do volunteer work on victims shelters, pay a monthly fee to a victim foundation and start every interview about anything with the sentence “ I’m sorry and I would like to apologize for lying about being a victim and therefore enable abusers to continue, and victims not to be believed, both male and female victims.”
I believed him from the beginning and argued with friends about it. A man just doesn't suddenly become an abuser in his 50s. If it's in his nature, it would have shown up before, in a previous relationship or somewhere in the course of his life. But nothing, on the contrary, all his former partners spoke up on his behalf and said exactly the opposite. I'm so glad now that people are seeing the truth. If he doesn't win this case, it's a travesty.

She could face prison time after this.

Wow, note the difference in tone from Heard's lawyer when she addresses a fellow lawyer in the deposition. Restrained, professional, and unprovoking. I think a lot of people who are watching the trial aren't only doing so because we support Depp (and interested in the truth like he is) but also because we've experienced someone who tried to hijack our reality or lives. Either those people have an outright overblown sense of importance or it's indirect and subtle. Those of us here who experienced such a viciously attempt/takeover of our lives, love, wellbeing, sanity, memory and left us with an almost hopeless feeling of salvaging and putting things together again will never give up supporting people who we can see experienced the same. It's an unfortunate experience but once you healed from it, you realize it taught you an intuitive recognition of these people, these situations and the telltale signs about it. Keep supporting him because you know that even though he's strong, you would have appreciated it if other people were there to cheer you on as you tackled putting things back together again.

Having a family member w BPD, I can attest to the fact that it is extremely brutal. The person makes you feel as though you are the one going crazy. I've had to protect myself, and others, by blocking off the relationship. As I stated, this is a close family member and it hurts, a lot. Haven't been following this case at all really, but found the dx of MS Heard and relating testimony, so similar to what I have went through, it's scary. They can be so believable, until another person experiences the same nightmare. It's even more sad that kids are involved as they are the perfect prey. I'm not going to continue watching anymore as it brings up all this 'stuff' from before.. I do pray for them all. Seriously.

I also have had a sib like that. When I resisted them, and tried to "out" their thievery of our father's money, they set out to destroy me. They did a pretty good job of it, too. Their crimes were projected on to me, and they lied to court, resulting in my personal losses. Saying, "No," is dangerous and meant only for the emotionally strong and resolute. They are incredibly adept at emotional blackmail, forcing everyone to choose sides. They are out of my life permanently, but sadly, so is my other sib who had been my best friend.

This Amber is a straight up narcissist my brother was married to a woman just like this. This is a woman scorned and I'm glad shes being exposed , they are so good at manipulating and convincing others they are the victim. I think he comes across as a very kind person of course with some drug issues. But I suppose that taking drugs like cocaine is quite common in his profession. I just responded that to someone who commented “I cannot believe these two put themselves in this situation”. As dignified as a person can be, one cannot stay quiet while injustice happens.
The Agent was a stellar witness. He gave the Court a bird's eye view of the behind the scenes relationship of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. What makes it even more interesting is that the Agent does not want to be a witness but was honest and clear and right to the point about how he saw Amber as a flawed yet very human person and that he cared for Johnny and Amber. He was a fantastic witness.

I honestly never believed her but now that I am hearing all this evidence and see Amber's testimony and body language, I now believe he was the victim. talk about adding insult to injury.
No, but she is paying them by the hour. They know they have no case so they are milking her dry. It seems like they are providing her with grounds for appeal on the basis of inadequate representation. I doubt, though, that another lawyer would take that on.

I believe that Amber is very upset at hearing her own recordings. She knows how horrible they sound. But, at the time she felt justified. When she is in a rage, she has no control of what she is doing or saying. Johnny probably knew that which is why he vacated the room most times.
Had JD known that the female sociopath was recording him vomiting, he would've not vomited at all. Ergo, there were times she recorded him without him knowing it, including times when he vacated the room to escape her rage.
Who records that many moments in a relationship? It seems like she went into the relationship / marriage with a plan to ruin JD. Why else would you take the time out of your "argument" to setup your phone to record? I mean, who does that?? @Stephany Pasnin, huge difference! Elaine is aweful towards anyone she perceives as beneath her. I believe she is also intimidated by this attorney who has 20 years of experience. Elaine seems to share a few of AH's characteristics, imo. I am sure some of the jurors who are in " lower" professions/jobs will pick this up, and even though they will do there level best to be objective, it's not going to be easy to feel that Elaine would treat you with disdain/contempt if you were. She has made herself thoroughly unlikeable. And what a waste of everyone's precious time she has used up with her repetitive questions.

I get the feeling that AH and this agent being interviewed were closer than he’s admitting. Meeting at each other’s abodes, and when he texts her about hanging out together, he says “what’s safe?” When asked, he says something about paparazzi, but I think it’s very sus. AH manipulated men that could help her, and she got this guy to arrange a meeting for her with Johnny AFTER the TRO! He talked Johnny into meeting with her.
I think this too. I also noticed Johnny seemed a lot more attentive during this deposition. I’m sure he’s paying attention to the other depositions but with the agent, Christian Carino he doesn’t draw as much and actually watches most of it. There was definitely something there. Plus Johnny doesn’t seem like the type to just drop people for no reason.
Ambers lawyer is doing a great job for Johnny s case. Disliking her and disliking Amber is one and the same thing. They both have the same condescending attitude and desire to hide the truth! Go Johnny! The truth must prevail!
Not only do I feel terrible for Johnny having to go through all of this, but Amber's poor innocent little girl has to grow up with her as a mother. After all of this, her ability to parent should come into question and be thoroughly evaluated.
The problem is that she paid a surrogate & we don't know who the sperm donor is so she is legally both mother & father. Who do you give the child to if she is proven unfit?
Wonder if she realises that her daughter will grow up and this will all be out there for her to see!? That in itself is not thinking like a mother, nor being a role model for her daughter.

This man was a great witness…..A mutual friend of both Amber & JD. Points he made…. Depp lost role in POC #6 because of Amber’s accusations… Never seen injuries on Amber during their friendship … After Filing TRO she wanted to reconcile ( with a man who committed SA & DV against her) Amber asked him to set up meeting with JD. Thus violating her own TRO. Amber was in relationship with Elon Musk while still professing her love to JD Amber attempted to use him to pass love notes to JD ( again, a man who allegedly committed SA against her with a wine bottle & beat her on a regular basis)
You just get the impression that everyone interviewed by Amber’s lawyer finds her insufferable. Like they all want to say to her “you’re wasting my time” but they are all being very patient with her. 😁
The Amber’s team remained in the courtroom for too long and to a point where the security staff had to ask them to vacate the room. Apparently, Amber and her attorneys were super shocked by the clever legal attacks of Johnny’s team.
I don't understand why they're going with such an abrasive style. I'd assume some of the jury won't like how they're treating those on the stand. If I was on the jury and her lawyers are trying to say JD had anger issues after I just watched them belittle everyone who took the stand, I'd have a difficult time believing them.
Hearing the evidence, JD got into a relationship that was destructive and unsuitable for him. Ms Heard sounds like she has issues, is violent and manipulative. Did she defame him with her accusations? Yes. Was it deserved? Well, from what I hear JD turns away from arguments, and she is the chaser who pursues to increase the fight, so I think he is non violent as much as is humanly possible.
SHE is the agressor! I was married to a man who acted JUST like what was explained about her behavior. They pick a fight about something unimportant, argue, argue and argue even to the point of being phyical. When you don't participate, walking away and/or when you finally justifiably get mad (even if you don't get physical against them), they play the victim part and say "Look how mad you were! You have anger issues!" In the meantime, they try to tell you that you're crazy and imaging things when you tell them what they did or said, and you start to wonder if you're losing your mind, while all the time it's just simple gaslighting. This is the same as what Brian Lundrie did to Gabby Petito. He had driven her to the point that she thought she had so much OCD that that was why they didn't get along, beause he told her that.

Bahaaa, when the attorney says "I don't recall" she has a smirk. Once again a "dont recall" is a way to avoid perjury without admitting to any wrongdoing.
