Johnny Depp Trial: Amber Heard Testimony Highlights Part 1 (Day 14) 

I worked for an abuse hotline for four years and dealt with hundreds of abuse calls and stories. I have attended numerous fundraising functions that oppose abuse and have listened to countless stories, drudged up and relived. And lastly, I was raised in an abusive household where my father beat the everliving shit out of my mother and abused me physically and emotionally as well. Those situations and emotions are engraved in my mind. And the emotion that comes with telling and reliving your abuse goes a certain way that is hard to fake. Having said all that, I don't believe a single word this woman says.

Johnny was so calm and mature during his testimony, his answers were raw and genuine. Seeing Amber testifying, my god, she was so chaotic..

The most shocking thing about this woman is that she has no remorse and is perfectly calm in her falsehood

She’s not telling a memory, she’s telling a narrative.

She’s a horrible actress. It’s so obvious she is trying to show that she is traumatized & her awful acting is pathetic

Johnny looked at the attorneys while on the stand. Amber looks at the jury and all around the courtroom. It's a performance. She is performing. As an abuse victim, we do not want the attention on us. We just want to forget and feel ashamed of what transpired. She is spitting in the face of all DV victims.

Someone once said to me: ''When you tell the truth, you have just ONE story to tell because the truth does not change. When you tell a lie, you explain your story in hundreds of ways because you want to convince the person you're telling the story to, you want them to believe you so you over explain yourself.'' She's lying, there is not doubt about that. The worst is that it's not even good acting. I hope the jury will see thru her lies. I believe Johnny. His answers were honest ones. I hope he wins.

I think we have hard proof that the reason her acting career is non existent is simply because she’s a bad actress and not because johnny restricted her from acting 🙌🏻

I was physically and emotionally abused by an ex girlfriend. Worst time of my life. She acted exactly like amber is/has been acting. Lots of things Johnny said about how she wouldn’t let him stay up without her and made him come to bed, she did that as well. Small hints and things like that you really only pick up on if you’ve been in an abusive relationship. Struck a chord with me that one did.

How she is trying to testify is honestly funny. She’s telling Johnny’s story just switching roles of people as her not being the abuser 😂 “I would walk away during every fight to deescalate it” there is audio of you chasing after him when he leaves the room.

The facial expressions say everything. To not even have one natural facial expression or to “break” character when she’s sitting with her attorneys just shows how bizarre she is. Not saying either of them are completely innocent but I think it’s clear who she is through this experience

Her fake quivers where she stops and exhales erratically are her biggest giveaway that she's lying, because she does it badly

Her intense body language and the way she speaks says it all… I don’t think that someone who has been through domestic violence could talk so comfortably about it, like she’s telling a normal story.. in front of the alleged abuser himself! She even sounds proud to share it, not ashamed/broken like anyone else would be…

I am a victim of physical and narcissistic abuse. She is describing her “trauma” and “abuse” with such fake emotion and the way she describes these unnecessary details about it that would be so irrelevant to an actual traumatized victim and not at all what they’d actually be focused on telling the jury about the abuse/trauma. I don’t cry in front of anyone, because I get too embarrassed and uncomfortable but even I couldn’t describe in detail the things I’ve gone through without at least getting emotional, as in genuinely emotional and literally can’t even imagine sitting in her shoes right now talking the way she is in the way that she is, it just isn’t real. I know all people are different, but we’re talking about physical abuse from the person you love and expect to love you back. No woman will not have at least some type of genuine emotion unless she never loved the man to begin with. Or if she’s lying or course.

The way she keeps looking at the jury to try to get sympathy is so creepy. Does she think her performance is fooling anyone? I don’t only hope JD gets his win but I hope she gets prosecuted for lying to the court. 💩

Tbh, I think the court is smart in the sense that they let her speak. She talks herself into oblivion and ends up digging a bigger hole for herself lmao. She overthinks and puts too much emotion and is blatantly lying

didn’t she always say johnny was the one who would walk away and SHE WOULD GET MAD AT HIM FOR IT??? there’s literally audio recordings of her abusing him saying he always runs away from the problem, yet today she says she’s the one who stepped away and he abused her for that??? she can’t even keep her stories straight and i don’t believe a word she says. she’s horrible, absolutely vile. and a horrible actress. you can see right through this and it’s sad that she sticks with the lies. if johnny doesn’t win i’ve lost hope in our court system entirely.

How can everyone be so sure she’s lying? Because of her body language and eye contact? Impressive to see so many body language experts in one place!

It is crazy how when she describes the abuse "she" faced, she perfectly describes everything Johnny faced that was proven in the recordings. She got so specific to mimic down to how he handled heated arguments by simply walking away. Interesting and scary at the same time how she just flips the script like that.

Her body language and demeanor don't come across as a physically abused victim. She's too animated and engaging. Instead of coming from an inner fear of depression from the trauma of facing your abuser, where the victim shrinks in the witness stand and avoids eye contact, Amber springs to life, like she's auditioning for a role or part in a dramatic play. Her entire persona has become vibrant, energetic, industrious, absorbed, invested, to be the center of attention. Instead of withdrawing as a victim in front of her, "accused" she becomes more lively, absorbed, confident, dramatic, captivating. You can actually see her trying to allure the jury and audience, and captivate them with her tearless pleas of emotional testimony.

It's interesting she keeps bringing up how much he would scream at her, yet, in every recording, she was the one screaming and he was the calm, composed one. It's also interesting that Vanessa Paradis and Winona Ryder both say that he is the sweetest, calmest person ever.

I really don‘t know what this woman is trying to achieve. Why would anybody lie do badly about such a serious thing and even BRING IT TO THE COURT. Isn‘t she embarrassed to lie in front of the jury? I just can‘t wrap my mind around it that someone would go so far with lying and making a whole wrong marriage up.

I was engaged to an abuser. He changed 8 months into living together. Started calling me names, pushing me, threatening me. I was terrified. We went to therapy so he could "fix" me. She asked him to leave the room after interviewing us together. He argued with her about leaving the room. When he finally left, she said she could tell he was abusing me, before I told her anyhting. I said how? She said everytime he talked that I shrunk down and winced. She said run as far away as fast as you can. I would never have left poop in the bed, he would have killed me. I certainly did not marry him. How is she acting like she is crying with No tears coming out of her eyes or using a tissue. She's odd.

Holy moly, I wanted to give her a chance and listen to what she had to say, out of fairness, but good lord.... I've literally never seen a worse liar. And I've seen some pretty awful liars in my life. Everything about her tone and mannerisms and body language just screams she's lying. Nothing seems genuine. If this were an audition, no casting director would hire her. This is literally just not how human beings act, look, or sound when they are recounting genuine traumatic experiences that have actually happened to them.

Anyone who’s ever been in an abusive relationship can see right through this .. wow. It hurts me to know how many women will not be believed as a result of this.

I love how she has to look around the whole court room to make sure they see her…someone who has been abused will either look in one place, look down, or loose direct

I was a victim of domestic violence for many years and it is not easy to recall things that I went through.When people ask, I can't even talk straight and just stare at one place thinking "should I really go back to those times again and try to remember things I tried so hard to forget?". Miss Heard is so calm and can talk so fast and straight. Not a good actress.

I found this at reddit "I’m not 100% certain she’s being truthful about everything but I think I broadly believe her that she was physically abused by Johnny Depp. I also suspect that while the relationship evolved to the point where they were both abusive I think he bears the bulk of the responsibility. There are a few reasons I believe he is an abuser. The first most obvious and persuasive reason is that Johnny Depp brought a defamation case against the Sun newspaper in the UK and after a relatively thorough trial the judge ruled against JD and found that characterisation of him as a “wife beater” was substantially true. So he lost the defamation suit. If it were in the USA, arguably this wouldn’t be very persuasive on its own because the standard for proof that you’ve been defamed is much much higher in the USA. In the UK, the alleged defamer, in this case a newspaper, has to prove they had very strong basis/proof for making such a claim. It is much, much easier to win these cases in the UK if your the complainant- probably partially why he chose to bring the case there. He still lost. There may have been some “home court advantage” for the newspaper but judicial system in the UK is pretty solid in it’s own terms. The second reason is to do with his behaviour over the years in the public eye. He’s been arrested for assault of a paparazzo and a security guard, so he has a history of violent behaviour. He has also trashed at least 2 hotel rooms in a rage -one when his then girlfriend Kate Moss was sleeping in the room and the police at the time were concerned for her safety. This might be common “rockstar” behaviour but if you look at it objectively this definitely fits the profile of a potential violent abuser. It’s unusual for normal people. Add in his extraordinary capacity to charm and impress people- so Jeckle and Hyde personality- you have the profile of someone who could be abusive but also adept at persuading people he would never do such a thing or to not hold bad behaviour against him. Then you have his history of substance abuse/ addiction, now of course not all people who have problems with drugs and alcohol are destined to be abusive, but substances often play a role in violence and can lead someone to be more violent and erratic than they would be if they had a fight with someone while sober. There are recordings of him threatening to self harm and images of messages he wrote with his own bloody finger on a mirror to Amber. This sort of thing very much fits with the profile of an abuser- it certainly shows he’s capable of going far out the norms of what’s exceptable behaviour in a relationship. Finally on his public behaviour, he has a long history of going for women significantly younger than him. Again, on its own, it’s not at all damning but one reason people choose partners much younger than they are is younger people are easier to manipulate for them. This is what an abuser would want. All his exes seem to be at least 9 or 10 years younger. Third- the people he hangs out with and counts as his friends. He’s best friends with Marilyn Manson, a man who if you believe what he says/writes about himself, is a violent abusive sadist and has been accused of this by about 30 women. His hero Hunter S Thompson, charged with violent sexual assault, accused of emotional abuse by family members and there are some very very wild rumours about his interest in snuff films (probably not true but I’d definitely avoid a person about whom this is a semi credible rookie). Depp public ally defended convicted child rapist Roman Polanski and worked with him on the 9th Gate. He also campaigned hard for Damien Echols, a man convicted of child rape and murder, to be freed. I 100% accept that the case of the Memphis 3 is considered extremely shady and the convictions were over turned- but they are super good friends now- and he’s what?- some sort of satanist magician type. Strikes me as an odd case/person to get so passionate about. He’s an actor, he’s probably drawn to interesting people but these people seem to be interesting in very similar ways. Forth- Heard’s descriptions of abuse and the evidence of abuse in this trial line up well with typical mo descriptions of violently abusive perps beat for beat. 1. Power differential, in this case money, age and industry influence 2. Love bombing target followed by sudden changes in mood or sudden, total withdrawal of affection, followed by more love bombing 3. Declaring love/deep feelings early in a relationship 4. Love bombing family and friends, lavishing with gifts, praise premature intimacy 5. Isolating from family and friends accusing members of the friend group or family of betraying target or the couple 6. Possessive jealousy and accusations on infidelity 7. Perp threatens to harm self or actually does harm self during a fight 8. Perp Has a keen interest in knives, guns, violent heroes/anti-heroes 9. Makes vivid jokes about or credible threats of violence (E.g. his texts to PB about raping Amber’s burnt corpse). TLDR: Johnny Depp is a walking red flag, he’s a man in his 50s with a history of violence and criminality. Amber Heard clearly has a raft of her own issues but seeing her as the master manipulator here stretches credulity imho- he always held the balance of power within the relationship but also it had to be apparent to her that he could destroy her career in a heartbeat if he wanted to. In fact, it does seem like that’s what he’s doing now very effectively. Maybe he’s never been abusive before, or maybe the mother of his children has a vested interest in not destroying the reputation and earning power of her children’s father. Maybe in previous relationships when he was much younger things didn’t escalate because he had 30+ years less of drug and alcohol abuse under his belt. Who knows! what I do know is that by law of averages it’s far more likely that he’s lying about not being abusive than it is she’s faking the whole thing. Not impossible, just not given the surrounding facts very unlikely imho."

I was wondering why Johnny’s lawyers never interrupted Amber while she was making all of these false allegations. Then I realized how genius they were for just letting this liar continue to talk and make a fool out of herself. Never interrupt an enemy while they are making a mistake. They knew they won the moment she started acting and fake crying and couldn’t get tears to come out. #FREEJOHNNY

I am a victim of physical and emotional abuse, and when I talk about it, the terror of the event and the trauma surround me and my emotions. I don't over explain the event simply because I don't have to over explain a truth. This is an insult for those of us that have experienced such events.

She sounds exactly as she would do if she were auditioning for the role of an abused woman, touching all the stereotypes, recalling all the possible signs of abuse and having an example ready for each one of them. Even the breathing and stress of the sentences.is what you would do if you were playing that role in a movie... The truth is it is so unnatural it looks all fake. I can't believe a single word she says

Amber constantly looks at the jury while Johnny on the other hand talks to the lawyers. She’s definitely trying to gain their sympathy by making eye contact and trying to make it personal.

I’m work as an emergency responder, and there’s something that really bothered me about this. She describes being held down by Johnny, which caused the bruising on her arm. She also described how he then slapped her repeatedly across the face. 2 things I noticed (tried my best to remain unbiased through the video as well): 1: No matter how I looked at that bruise, the marking didn’t make sense from the way she described it. I’ve sat here trying to imagine how he could’ve left a mark like that from grabbing her arm. Yes, violent grabbing can, and likely will, leave bruises. However, the marking just doesn’t match what she’s saying (at least from how I’m seeing it). 2 (and the bigger thing I noticed): she described being slapped in the face repeatedly, but when you look at the picture there’s no damage to her face. From what she testified, it would’ve more than likely played out in one of two ways. Either he hit her with no jewelry on which would’ve left her face reddened, bruised, and probably swollen. The other option would be that Johnny had his rings on which would’ve had a good probability to break the skin (cut her skin open), as well as the same signs from the previous situation. Ultimately, from the picture she took and has presented to the court, what she shows just doesn’t seem to line up with the event that she described. What she described was an incredibly violent event, but she has no signs of abuse anywhere except for a bruise that doesn’t match up to what I’d have expected to see if he had violently grabbed her. This honestly reminds me of the movie Gone Girl.

All these little details like, "I was looking at the light" and then again, "I was looking at the blue light" are pure deception. A real victim would never be interested in telling insignificant details when the real details are so horrifying. She's trying to make the story sound legit by adding those but instead it exposes her deception.

Did another notice that when it was Johnny on the stand you could see amber staring straight at him almost trying to threaten him almost like saying “I’m gonna get u back” but when it’s amber on the stand Johnny is hardly looking at her, even tho he was laughing and trying to make the best of it he still can’t look at her. Staring at your abuser is total normal amber🤦‍♀️

I'm a big baby and when abuse victims speak they pretty much always make me cry. I have no tears with this one.

I am not a psychologist or have a degree in trauma, but I have worked with battered women for years, and what strikes me as odd, is the degree of trauma/violence she describes in this video, contra the self secure recordings of her, later in their relationship! Makes no sense! Because she describes the experiences of a battered and frightened women, but in the recordings (both her own, and JD's) she never once sounds like a woman in distress! In all the recordings she sounds like a woman in full control!!! And I have NEVER heard about a victim of spousel-abuse, talking about the times where they could dominate the abuser🤯👈

When people are honestly recounting a memory, they simply tell the story as it happened, as they lived it. You can tell she didn't experience any of what she is claiming

To everyone claiming to be experts on “trauma response” just because they have experienced some sort of abuse; stop. Everyone reacts to trauma in very different ways. And I’m sure you’ve never been nationally televised during a testimony. I don’t want to take any sides in the trial, but for people to come out and say that she’s acting are just looking for a reason to oust Johnny, because they don’t want to believe that their favorite childhood actor is a potential scumbag. There is substantial evidence both for and against her in this trail, and any fair and just jury would consider that. NOT by the way she delivers a testimony. Judge by what she is saying, not how she is saying it.

in the infamous recording of her admission of abuse , she sarcastically said JD was “ admirable “ for exiting the situation when it got too heated. Now she lies on the witness stand about trying to leave the situation when JD was “ holding her down & slapping her repeatedly “. She tried to have the case dismissed, now it’s a last ditch effort of acting in front of the jury to sway the obvious verdict. She’s a bad liar and her testimony acting job has failed her greatly.

A thing that criminals and pathological liars often do, is they’ll include lots of detail. Things that we don’t need to know, in order to convince you of their tale. Notice that they asked how she got the bruise on her arm, and she never actually said how. She just goes back to talking about “how she felt” and that “she can’t remember how many times he hit her on the face”. She never gave a direct answer. There’s also common micro expressions humans do, particularly with the eyes, when recounting or remembering a memory. I watched and she didn’t do it not one single time. There’s a very high chance that most if not all of her testimony is false. And if there is some truth, she has exaggerated or changed it.

Johnny testimony was so good. He made a connection with the listener. Described in a very good and calm way. Amber is scattered all around. Hard to connect with her testimony. Need to hear from body language experts on her testimony but to me it’s full of lies. Her story makes no sense to me. Wondering how jury will connect to her story.

As an ex victim of DV, she makes me want to puke. To flip the script on Johnny like that in front of the Jury is completely disgusting!

The screaming at me part for me… especially since there’s so much audio footage of her screaming at him and hitting him… does she actually believe anything she’s saying? Real abuse victims don’t talk like this…

If she were truly abused, she’d have a very clear and concise response detailing what happened that made complete sense. What we hear is rambling, incoherent, language that doesn’t make much sense.

She's expressing rage more than fear or anxiety or sadness or trauma.

While she recants her so called past experiences, she looks nervously around the courtroom to see if people are believing what she is saying. She also over-emphasizes certain points to ensure her narrative doesn't fall apart. Such bad acting, bravo!

How did you get that bruise? He slapped me so i walked away, threw a vase at him, he held me down to the floor yelling at me, i dont remember how many times he hit me in the face...... so i took a photo of the bruise on my arm. How does this a) answer the question, b) not raise serious doubt over the accuracy of her testimony? He slapped her face so many times but didnt leave a mark, yet holding her down leaves a bruise on her arm? If what she said was true and accurate she surely would have photos of her reddened, swollen, bruised face too?

Can’t tell if she has so lost her own sense of identity that even when she is speaking truthfully it appears she’s trying to sell a character in a fictional narrative, or if she is lying outright. A poor acting performance either way.

“walking out of the room” instead of “I walked out of the room when she just said SHE was trying to get away from HIM, she left out the pronoun “I” because she’s lying, it was HIM who tried to get away from her.

The best thing to do for her is to admit that she lied instead of whatever the hell this is. I felt sick listening to her “cavity search” story. She could barely get it out because of just how wildly unbelievable it sounded even for her.
