Impa was an underdog and pretty much written off even before the fight started. Look deeper than what the paper shows. This fight was the best on the night, and it took two to make it
@@PlaceStillMatters guy there's mad politics 🙄 in the sport already and mad robberies that have been committed. My opinion was much more better then most. 🤷 I guess you shouldn't be the one to apply considering you care about others feelings and not facts. You would be corrupt
Kasanganay you wasted your opportunity. You almost had him on the second round. It’s the 2 takedowns the made the difference of the fight . You did not level up to the next gear . You should have go to take him down while he was dizzy . When he was trying to take you down facing down , he was buying his time cuz he was dizzy . He knows you’re better striker and the only way to win is to take you down . Good luck on your next fight . Lesson learned !!!
Johnny is the better striker, but he clearly wrote impa off and didn't take it serious. I say Eblen is the better striker because he won round 1, and won round 3 on the feet before taking impa down.
Nah impa’s fault for not doing more really. Had Eblen in trouble in the 2nd round and decided to throw it away. I think Impa beats him in a 5 rounder tho.
He threatened the rnc, he hit him with ground and pound. Eblen won the 1st round, imps won the 2nd round, and Eblen dominated the 3rd. The 2nd round is clearly impa, the momentum started shifting in the 2nd half of round 2. In round 3 Eblen landed more strikes on the feet, so without the takedown Eblen was already winning. The takedown solidified it
@@hybrid.catastrophic.impact6071bruh. Watch the first round again. You can literally hear sonnen say “impa is about to steal this round” implying that he’s doing better than eblen. But each to their own. Imo impa was robbed.
Heard that this was a clear win for Impa but just getting around to watching. Johnny definitely had the cleaner hits in R1, ended every round with control and was narrowly out struck. In my mind, clear Eblen victory for rounds 1 & 3
Eblen won that fight. The 1st for I leaned towards Elben. The 2nd Impa even though Eblen came back and wrestle fucked for his life. Eblen won round 3 for certain, fair exchanges on the feet but won on the ground and controlled. Eblen always pushed forward even when getting nearly knocked out.
After Johnny Eblen got rocked, he dominated the rest of round 2 and round 3. In mma if you don't take your opponent seriously, crazy things can happen. In the ufc Arman tsrukyan fought an unranked fighter and almost got knocked out in the 2nd round but rallied back and won the fight. Umar Nurmagomedov got rocked and almost got taken out by an unranked fighter making his ufc debut, but Umar fought back and won. Championship mentality. Impa story is similar to Brandon Moreno, leaving the ufc and coming back better. Impa definitely improved and if any of the ranked ufc middleweight start slacking impa can knock them out.
Lol. Nope. Buckley was in Bellator and lost multiple times there. Eblen would crush Wiedman. Don't disrespect him like that. Oh by the way Chris Curtis is ranked and doing great in the ufc, but he got knocked out and lost multiple times in PFL.
@@hybrid.catastrophic.impact6071Buckley would be a fucking Bellator or PFL champ 😂😂 probably in some fucking weight class like light heavyweight as well 😂😂😂
What Elben is doing at the beginning is what Covington should have done with Leon, but instead, he just stood there, like a knucklehead, and got beat up. Maybe he really did break his foot. That other dude hits freaking hard. Good scrap could have gone either way.

RD 1 Eblen RD 2 Impa RD 3 Eblen I got it 29-28 for Eblen. If the fight was judged as a whole and not round by round, Id have Impa winning. RD 1 was close and RD 2 Impa did the most damage from the whole fight. MMA needs to move away from scoring round by round and go back to scoring fights as a whole
Eblen won rd 1 by a close margin. Take a close look at the two flying knees impa threw, they didn't connect, in fact eblen landed a body shot on that last flying knee attempt. 2nd half of round 2 is when the momentum started shifting back to Eblen. 3rd round Eblen outstruck him on the feet, then took him down. If this was a 5 round fight Eblen would most likely finish him. Eblen is a cardio machine
