This is the first version of 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘙𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘔𝘦 𝘜𝘱 to bring tears to my eyes. Other versions, while powerful in both voice and music, don't exude the same passion Johnny does. Thanks to a tidbit of trivia someone posted in a comment on a Secret Garden version of this song, I discovered that Johnny is indeed the original artist who recorded 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘙𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘔𝘦 𝘜𝘱, but was removed from the project because the music label refused to publish the song if he was singing it. I understand there is more history behind the song itself with questions as to who originally composed the music, but as far as artists singing/recording the song, 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻! I think this is the version I'm going to send my mum off with. Cheers, Johnny. ❤

However, dear Johnny found the song so nice that he found it too good for Eurovision, and as you know, when it comes to music, Eurovision is not what you want to be famous for, so they let an Irish boy band sing it first. Today it is one of the most played songs in the world, but NOBODY sings it like Johnny Logan - it IS his song.
