My wife of 18 years passed away 2 months ago today. This song came on the radio, haven't heard it in nearly 20 years, as it played I had to pull over and cry on the steering wheel. Song was always good, really hits close now.:(
Wherever you are right now, Johnny O - thanks. This song helped take me away to somewhere wonderful when I needed it as a kid, and I'll always be grateful to you for it.
I'm friends with them. We went to the same church and sang in choir together. Still keep in touch, especially with his wife. I will relate the message for you ❤️

Man! I grew up in the 90s but my favorite generation was always the 80s! Music and Fashion was the best! So Glad my moms brought all this music into our lives! ✊🏾
I'm not telling you how old I am, but I remember this song was played a lot on my local radio station in Chicago. I still love it to this day in 2023. Now tell me, is anyone still jamming to this song today?? ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes! I'm 29. My brother and sister were both born in the 80s, so I grew up listening to this kind of music with them. I always preferred these songs over Britney Spears and whatever boy bands everyone was obsessed with at the time I was growing up.
Word...man you could spend weeks trying to get that mix tape just right but once it was done, nobody could tell you nothin 😂 time went by so quickly, sometimes it makes me cry listening to 80s, 90s songs I miss these days so much
Mike Tucker I'm right there with you I'm 49 years old and this song is a great 1. I love the older music some people in this day and age will never understand what real music is.
Freestyle music was a huge Latino movement back in the 80's . This is by far the best music of that time but also a major break through for our Latino/Latina community. Freestyle lives on forever!!!!
Robert Garcia Well I'm Russian and I listen to it in 2016 still, used to date a Latina in 98 they always played clubhouse at their house that's how they call it on East coast.
I saw Johnny O in a concert/ night club in the late 1980s in North Miami, FL; it was incredible. He was huge in South Florida then! We had a great time.

I miss the freestyle era that Johnny O was a part of. The freestyle era of the late 80's and early 90's will never be replaced or forgotten. It was absolutely awesome time to listen to music during the freestyle era. Thanks for blessing us with all this music from that era
this song makes me want to cry so much i remember it was Christmas 2018 & my sister in law showed me and my niece this song and we were just dancing to it & i loved it so much & she went to the military but yes she is still alive she is only in her 20s , also she is german !
I remember growing up during these freestyle days. I was only a kid but my sisters were teens during this time and would take me and my sisters friends niece with them to cruise around on a Friday night with their high school friends back in the day in a nearby hangout spot. We felt so cool to be around the big kids back then lol
I agree with you man our old school days were filled with alot of dance low rider cars awesome bass competitions and amazing and unforgettable love songs the youth now are like zombies to stuck into screens instead of appreciating the out doors and before relationships were more deep in feeling than now .god bless all😊

"The first time I saw you there In my world, I wasn't prepared And what i witnessed from your heart 'Cause I knew baby girl it was ready to start A fantasy that was all so true The way I felt, girl I knew That you and me, we were meant to be In this world for love, you were made for me Oh oh, fantasy girl Your my fantasy girl I need you tonight Oh oh, fantasy girl Your my fantasy girl I need you tonight The way you look, the way you smile You made me feel like a brand new guy inside I want you in my fantasy 'Cause I'd do anything for you don't you see The way I feel, is oh so true I can't deny what I'm telling you Baby girl in my fantasy You would be more than happy, you would be with me Oh oh, fantasy girl Your my fantasy girl I need you tonight Oh oh,…"
