The backup singers have angelic voices. Rarely do they get to sing lead in a song but they do and make this song even more beautiful.

Here's something weird that only nerds who have a phonographic memory like me would notice. This song was released in August of 1966. One month later, the Mama's and the Papas released "Look Through My Window". The two songs start off with the exact same drum riff, and I think The Wrecking Crew's Hal Blaine plays drums on both songs.

I got to see him live 15-20 years ago at Peele's Palace in Florence, KY...wintery night and very low attendance but the 'show went on' by the multi-Grammy award winner. Pure music...

A timeless classic that I love hearing as much as I did in 1966! The supreme quality of the Blossoms and the band with his voice make this so surreal and beautiful. I was just out of high school and deeply in love !!! This song made it even better.!

I travel to my childhood when listening this song. Really missing my grandma and my perfect world I lived through, long time ago in Brazil!

Of all the hits Rivers had in the 60s and 70s this was the only one to go to #1.. Unfortunate irony.
