Jesus called out to his God and Father, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Matthew 27:46 & Mark 15:34. Jesus set the pattern for us today in these Last Days, 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Following Jesus fine example, we are to address our prayers to his God & Father, JEHOVAH & then end all prayers in Jesus name.
the filth are the ones that wrote the bible and conned people into being growthless fools looking to a fictional god thing to make them what they want to be . the god thing being fictional never helps people and the filth that pushes the bible continue to keep using and preying upon their naive fool followers . 2000 years of praying and people know nothing more about their origins or destinys but continue to pray to a god thing and count on it to save it from filthy low lifes . when in reality were the only ones that can defend ourselves !
You just nailed it- I always get a dopa release after some JR. Plus, dear hall of shame-- Too many in the hall that did 5 years because of drugs/meanwhile JR has been upfront for 65 years!! Taking care of yourself is never considered vs the shooting star.
That's because like the mysterious young lady that has you snagged , she (he) shows a different part. What I call a "bad girl" no matter what moral code she lives by. I have never seen him so animated-
My sister and I listened to ou older brothers albums from Johnny Rivers albums which we loved same children. I always loved this song but as I got old I wondered it the song the snake was really a song as I never heard it until now by any artist! Thanks for posting ! Yes Johnny sang other people's songs but always made them hi own ! And poor side of town he wrote. And it's my favorite ! Yes he was a wonderful , sexy singer guitarist & songwriter and belongs in the RocknRoll hall of fame!
I'm pro-Trump, but I think he shd give credit to Oscar Brown, who wrote it, & Al Wilson, who had a 60's hit w/it, & to Johnny Rivers, who produced, & played guitar on it.
This song is such a cautionary tale. People wlil do what's in their nature (what they are hardwired to do). Self awareness and spirituality are the only modification for negative tendencies.
Linda Nolan - actually Johnny did the song before Al. It was on Johnny's "And I Know You Wanna Dance" album (included "Secret Agent") which was released in 1966. I believe Al did his version in 1968.
+JGUIGNARD I believe Johnny Rivers produced Al Wilson's version, which is a cover of his own version (almost similar arrangements which really differ from Oscar Brown Jr 's original)
The song is about how women have a caring nature, and take in men who the rest of society has rejected because they are trouble. Later when the Snake (the troublesome man) betrays the woman, she is confused because she had thought that with love and compassion he would change. He then informs her that she knew he was a Snake from the start.
Oddly, I have never heard of this "hidden" song until I saw a clip on CNN news. CNN interviewed the original songwriter's daughters about the association between the late Mr. Oscar Brown Jr. (songwriter) and "#45".
He enjoys this song so much, makes me wonder? Where did all this emotion come from? Maybe women should beware? I am sure any woman in the room will take him home in a minute.
I used to volunteer helping women ( some guys too; there are actually men whose relatives or caretakers beat them up, deny them food, verbally demean them, keep them "imprisoned," etc.) fill out Temporary Domestic Restraining Orders . It HORRIFIES me just how much most of my people's STORIES paralleled THIS SONG. C.H.
My guess is that 90 % of you had never heard of "The Snake" until Pres. Trump recited it at his rallies. Now it's getting millions of RU-vid searches & everyone knows it's a great Al Wilson song from 50 yrs ago. God I feel old saying that because I was 23 at the time.
