I love how Johnny sack will never tell anyone how to do their job while doing precisely that. This guy has back door played pretty much everyone. To the point where it seems unusual that Tony never calls him out despite having set him on that very course several times.

when he said "friend of ours" you'd think one of the actors would have said that's an unrealistic thing to say. I mean not to be too picky - but "friend" and "friend of ours" have very specific meanings in that world... and Hesh was definitely not "a friend of ours"

If I were Tony and no one was oobatz I would have created a trifecta council of consiglieri emeritus made up of Junior, Feech and old man Baccala. Where they get paid directly from Tony and exist purely to give holistic/big picture advice. Having that level of smarts and experience would be invaluable. Plus it keeps them out of trouble and affords them the respect in the organisation.
