Jesus you don’t have competitive bone in your body if you think Newman not tapping paddles between every game of a series is “rude”. Do teams shake hands at halftime in the NFL? Of course there is a line not to cross if your barking at the other team, but man Newman has passion and love for competition and if you don’t understand why he’s vocal and locked in that’s because you’ve never competed at a high level. Tom Brady came into a game angry, the team he’s playing no matter who is his enemy. Grow a pair.

Yea, Newman can learn from Johns brothers besides great playing also class and character.

@@Casey_999 Besides the fact the OP didn't say anything about not tapping paddles, I think it's a bad analogy using the NFL at halftime. The game isn't over at halftime. If two NFL teams were playing the best of 3 games, it would be a better analogy. Being competitive and displaying good sportsmanship aren't mutually exclusive. They can both occur. Also, you might want to look up "your" vs. "you're".

Antagonist v protagonist makes good drama, talking points, politics, love-to-love-to-hate moments and brings similar McEnroe / Bjorg viewership. So, I hope everyone plays true to themselves and tries not to be someone else.

@@jennifernguyen9600 Dinking can be a weapon too. Its purpose is to prevent them from speeding up like that and to also create openings between the opponents. One donked dink to the outside line could mean the enemy can erne and finish the rally on you or a extreme wide dink could mean ATP. If you master dinking you can actually bait the opponent to give you a free erne or to spread them apart so you can put it in the middle on the seam.

@@jennifernguyen9600 Disparaging remark aside, you're entitled to your opinion. I find the dink battles super tension-building and nail-biting. Who is going to pull the trigger first? Who dinks it just an inch or two too high (or too low)? is there going to e a miscommunication in the middle? It's a huge part of the sport and what makes pickleball unique.

He made the decision a while back to forego tapping paddles into the actual match is over. His reasoning is that no other sport does anything like that in between individual games. I think it makes sense even if the optics aren’t great.

@@pandaparkproductions Agreed, and I do the same! Playing a best of 3 and tapping ggs after every game feels off. Any sport, including esports does not have something like this.
