I don't know, if You will have the time to do this, but over the border in Namibia there is a small town called Lüderitz, which looks like someone took a quiet North German village and placed it in a desert next to an ocean. Might be a cool side-trip and video project)

@@sebittyseb4481 haha honestly, he should! Lebanon and Syria in some ways have overlapping parts of their cultures but definitely worth the visit. One of my regrets, even though I live in Lebanon, was not visiting many places, some of which are now gone forever, before the war. Syria's people, culture, and history are amazing.
Crazy was just in Germany during the july university holidays, and am now back in South Africa resuming my studies. Now a youtuber I looked at to get advice on my small trip to berlin has come to South Africa🤣, hope you have a good stay, if possible should definitely check out joburg and the so called "Joburg boets" or Pretoria.

You do need to be diligent and careful in SA. Keep a firm hold on your stuff and attach it to yourself somehow. Crime is high. However the people are fantastic and friendly. Just don’t leave your stuff sitting around. Seriously.
This is a really pleasant surprise, I hope you enjoy your stay! Also, if you guys like wine, I'd recommend visiting Stellenbosch and the winelands area in general. Some really nice wine farms you can go tasting at, and buy good wine for reasonable prices (cheap even, considering the Euro is so strong).

I am NEVER surprised when foreigners are so positive about SA. It's SAFE, nothing happened to me they say. But as a local, it is such a different story. I still like this guys channel.
It is not even about money but it is a general pattern around the world. You would be surprised just how many Americans within the US that have never traveled outside their city. I live in Boston and you'd think I would be snapping and going to all the touristy places but it is because when that is your city you take it for granted. It is not only when I go on instagram on youtube do i discover these amazing places right in my back yard. Also as South Africans we have to stop trashing our country in public as much as we do because shocking reality is that the world has the same issues that we have and the difference is that they give their countries good PR. I never was a victim of crime myself in SA until I moved to the USA. So it goes to show that every country has its own share of challenges.

I recommend India venster or kasteelspoort hike up table mountain as well. Beautiful views and decent hikes. Shout if you need or want any Cape Town tips. I have been living here for a year and still discover amazing places. It never gets boring
@@ADayintheLifeoftheTw I donno man, it's really crazy in some areas of Cape Town. The crime is constantly on the rise and it's just getting worse every year. I myself have had enough and moved to Europe recently.
@@superstefano7895 Don't doubt it, I have friends who visit South Africa regularly since the 80s. They always have the most interesting and horrifying stories to tell.
I have seen another person who I follow join them as well some another location. The idea is amazing! And I hope the experience will be as great! Also I hope that by the time I will manage to unlock the remote work achievement, they will be around still to join myself possibly.😋

I have a strange relationship with baths and showers. When staying in a hotel or hostel I prefer a shower yet at home I prefer a bath. That's because I'm used to my own bath and like a good soak. Also my shower is an eco shower with a fine spray.
That sounds so cool, didnt know you could do sth like this (alltough flying ....not so good for the enviroment. There are opportunities to buy those CO2 certificates but still)

It's interesting to see you came to South Africa. Did you know that in South Africa a language called Afrikaans is spoken . Afrikaans is a descendant of Dutch and was initially called Cape Dutch . Also the the Afrikaans term for Cape Town is Kaapstad . Hope you like your stay and enjoy yourself
