Honestly over the last few years this has become one of my favorite joji songs. It's one of his happier ones and the music video is really fun and I like seeing him happy :) I hope some day we get more music videos like we got on Nectar

The love of my life passed away this month, and Joji was our favorite artist. We were the crazy couple who listened to Nectar on repeat from the 1st day of its release. I may not have my love, but I'll always have this song, this album and all of Joji and Filthy Frank's videos to remind me of him. #ripjay 😥♥️♥️♥️

Joji will never know how much this song helped me during my divorce, nor will he know about the life he saved. I hope to give him a hug one day.

This song slaps. These lyrics hit me in a way I didn't think they would, honestly. You guys put some of the feelings of being a nurse working on the COVID unit (especially at the beginning) into a banger. "Right now, laying here alone is heaven (here alone is heaven)" - I would get home and be so emotionally drained that I didn't have anything left for my family. Being alone, at least for a little while, was heaven. "And I've been a hero, helpless, I'm in hell" - Everyone called us heroes but, man, I didn't feel like one. I felt helpless. We were doing all that we could at the time, we were intubating people left and right and people were still dying. They were deteriorating so fast and we couldn't save them. We were using bandanas or hastily made DIY masks as facemasks and trash bags to cover our surgical scrubs. We were scared we were going to bring it home to our families. It really was some type of hell. "And I've cried up and down in these hallways, blamed myself" - So many of us blamed ourselves. We did cry in the hallways. The deaths never got any easier. It was heartbreaking. It still is heartbreaking. In short, I love the fuck out of this song.

It’s insane that he can make so many songs with such juxtapositions. This song, is a break up song and the lyrics should be disheartening but the song feels so moving, the kind of song that when I’m driving to work and the sun is rising over the early morning construction it makes me want to work and reminds me why I’m doing such a difficult job and who I’m doing it for.
