imagine a sad drummer just slumping over their drum kit, sobbing with tears dripping onto the equipment. This version totally conveyed that, each hit sounds so defeated and tired, totally conveying the song's sentiment. nice one!
Yes! And imagine if the guy made it that if so the drummer missed a beat here and there, like a drummer would if they were depressed and not feeling their best, or simply a weak muted beat here and there, too weak to hit it from the sheer depression. perfect way to convey a sad drummer over this

This is actually great god damn. I kinda half went into this thinking it was a joke bc I had just watched a video where someone played a goofy ass drum track over Joji's Glimpse of Us and I'm so glad it wasn't this was a delight
put more reverb on your drum hits and play with the velocity to give it a deeper, more acoustic sound to your kit. play with the big room reverb to make it all sound more washy and mellow, which my ear hears largely in this song(my own drums and strings are on my channel) awesome cover, keep it up!!

This is just perfection. The drums and string adds more depth of despair and just utter acceptance of what is to come and expect from the actions of the singer. Keep up the good work bro 📈
a subtle detail but completely flipped the scale for me was when I noticed the battery going down as the song progressed. I love this version keep up the good work.
This is wonderful, I really hope this gets more views! When I first heard the song, I thought of strings in the back and how nice it would sound, I'm happy to see it here
I've always felt this song could use some heavy hitting drum track to further accentuate it's "sad and defeated" feeling (not that the song is bad without it) and you have done it well!
The battery drain in the vid is a nice touch. Wonderful expansion on the song, and as another said, improving on the sound to echo in a way would be a version quite beautiful like this. This one is for car rides, and the other would be for being "alone slow dancing in the dark" haha.

Nice one man! The strings are really good! But maybe de drum should be more "expansive" for the type of song, maybe more reverb and dont "show" to much drums

In my opinion, since this is Joji we're talking about, giving the drums a more old, used up sound like a lofi type sound would sound a lot better. It's in his fashion to use used up type percussion in his music to give it a more vintage and authentic taste.
