I can't tell you how much this song means to me. In the past year I've lost my health and have struggled each and every day in hopes the next would be better. Now I'm going through a breakup with someone I've known 10 years, and my dog and best friend of 14 has fallen ill at the same time. I feel like everything I've ever known and loved is burning to the ground right in front of me. The song perfectly captures how I feel about my mate, how our love fell stale, how I would (and did) anything within my power for him, and how ultimately, I'm not the one.
