She was 13 when Leave (Get Out) came out in 2004. In 2006 when Too Little Too Late came out she was 15. Her record label wouldn't let her release new music for a decade and they also wouldn't release her from her contract.
The fact she was 13 with a voice like this is crazy. JoJo SHOULD BE where Ariana Grande is in the music industry today. It’s such a shame her career got derailed.
Since this original version isn’t on streaming sites (due to the label), it’s rare for me to hear the original version, but it’s so good. The updated version is better vocally since she’s matured, but this original version gives that early 2000s nostalgia.
the original version is on spotify, the label somehow came back and put out all the artists (who were under their label) music, including jojos entire first album
The version of the music video being reacted to is slightly different too. It has some different shots than that of the original release, likely since the account is Blackground 2.0 or something.
Before all the Disney pop girlies (Miley, Selena and Demi) she was kinda the first one to become super famous without the help of the Disney machine and she was really famous in the 2000s and people are really anticipated for her 3rd album but because of her label problem she couldn't release new music for almost 7 years and people just kinda forget about her which it's really sad because she's so talented
