I love HFTF, it has a nice group of followers, the game is balanced, and it can be easily played, it has all of this while staying faithful to the source material PERFECTLY. The only bad thing about HFTF is that it's part 3 only. ( probably cause stardust crusaders is one of the most popular parts )
That timestop steal mechanic is incredible. I could never input it correctly but I know Capcom made it a secret factor in the final level of ps1 version (Both characters even start the fight with 3 meters). Most of secret factors that aren't "Get a Perfect" are interesting enough.
All time highest quality and most passionate game adaptation of a manga in 2d game. Also it's remarkable that they were willing to put a ton of effort in this game like it was one of their own brands as SF. They used their new cps3 system at the time, that is much more demanding, instead of their older cps2 system. Even though there were still cps2 games being made like MvC1, SFA3, DS3. Still they went on and offered Jojo the best tools they had. Even Marvel, that brought so much attention to Capcom, didnt get a cps3 game.
This was so freaking cool. Seeing the panels and comparing them side by side is one thing, but superimposing them over the sprites is something else entirely!! So so awesome to see, and I really appreciate the work that went into this. Thank you for making this video! It must’ve taken a lot of time, and it turned out amazing.
Yeah, Capcom was the best back then. It's always made me wonder, what if Capcom never dealt with Marvel in the 90s and instead used the "Marvel" gameplay system for DBZ. I imagine the same budget and effort (or even more) of the Marvel series put in a DBZ game with that same gameplay style. Those Marvel sprites are a masterpiece even today, and they were made around the early to mid 90s.
This game is a treasure. You can watch the anime and understand where moves and sprites come from, but it all hits completely different after you read the manga and come back to see the references. This game goes from referencing Dio doing a weird spin to avoid sunlight to straight up redrawing manga panels.
Another thing I noticed is Dio's 5B is the move he does when deflecting Kakyoin emerald splash You can see him use it in the cutscene after you beat Kakyoin in story mode
Bro the ending was perfectly done dude, the road roller scene and how jotaro dodged it like the manga and anime and when they both attacked, u perfectly timed it with the actual scene in the game! Like fr, good job! 0_0

I don't think the game would've worked on the CPS2. Four high-quality character and Stand sprites onscreen simultaneously would've probably been too much for the system unless they significantly cut down on the detail like with the PS1 port.
Woah, it's really cool how you noticed all this. I never would've figured out how many references to the manga were in a videogame that's based on the manga, that's wild!
A friend of mine said he hates this game, I ask him why and he tells me that it's because the anime looks gay and then he claims that he isn't homophobic the next day when we had an argument where I accused him of being homophobic.
JoJo isn't even gay, the characters are just flamboyant, that's how Araki makes his art. There were only ever two gay characters in the entire franchise from what i remember (those two minor villains from part 5)
@@primeoctoberHe said it looks gay and it really does I mean hes not wrong and he isnt homophobic either because he doesnt hate gay people its just that watching an anime that looks gay despite 90% of the characters not being gay just seems weird like make ur character gay if their acting gay like bruno literally licks giorno and then dont get me started on that giorno pose from episode 1 of part 5 or the avdol and old joseph situation in part 3. He isnt wrong i like jojo but it does look pretty gay.
he could’ve said there was plot holes or he wasn’t a fan or the artstyle, or maybe the confusing stands and moments that doesn’t make sense. Yet, he went for the worst argument possible. “JoJo is gay”
@@Ceekos Also in-game, at the part Kakyoin say he will exterminate Dio with his stand In anime, it's reference to the part Kakyoin say: "Take This, DIO! 20 meter Emerald Splash"
Can you make "Jotaro plays Heritage For The Future" but the fight is Jotaro vs Dio and Jotaro, D'Arby trying to recreate the whole fight of manga/anime?
@@dannyd4339 I never called myself a JoJo fan. The only canon colors confirmed are both Dio and Giorno being blonde, Jotaro's eyes, skins colors and some stands colors can be already be imagined by his names. "Hieropanth Green" and "Magician Red" are some examples.
If you are talking about that its Medium - Low - 6 - Low - High ( if you are on the left side) Medium - Low - 4 - Low - High ( if you are on the right side) But you probably learned that since this comment was 2 months ago
