Ik people don’t really like Jojo but imo she was definitely a victim when it come to Colleen being a predator, and the reason jojo is defending her is because she’s been groomed into believing Colleen is a friend and that she will always be right. I personally went through that and jojo definitely shows signs of being mentally manipulated/brainwashed by Colleen.

Tbh, I feel like Colleen could have behind how Jojo was defending her. They weren’t always seeming like it was great relationship(bit of an understatement,ik) and she could be under contract or even possibly threat, so I feel like she’s getting as much hate as Colleen with far less reason and Colleen could have a hand in all of this.
I mean it sucks either way. If Jojo admits that she knows she was a victim, her whole involvement in the situation becomes more entangled. Then you have to imagine that Jojo might not be ready to even deal with being groomed. If she is still dealing with all that damage one can see why she defends Colleen. If she does that she can keep living in denial. Sometimes our brains make subconscious choices to keep us safe from the trauma we can't deal with yet. I don't think that one can be mad at the kid.

So it’s interesting that Jojo is defending her cause she’s known her since she was 12. She probably has been groomed and hasn’t realized.
