Leigha has a disability called Spina Bifida, that doesn’t mean she can’t dance and she’s actually an amazing dancer. It is Jess and Jojo who specifically wanted a disabled dancer and then ended up treating her awfully for being disabled.

​@@vozera723the girl is known for being a disabled dancer. That's WHY JoJo and her team wanted and PUSHED for her. The surgery was not planned. She has a condition that deteriorates over time. And it can also go down hill fast. Unfortunately due to JoJo over working them it happened faster. I grew up performing in plays and trust me we're USED to long days. We'd start at 6am rehearse, go to school, rehearse between lessons and at breaks and lunch then we'd go straight from school to rehearsals and we'd be there till 10.30/11pm. And till gone midnight on performance days. Then your on a high and can't sleep for a good few hours. So you get 3 hours sleep and repeat every day. We sacrifice a LOT because if you don't build a name by 16 it's over. Dancers retire at like 18 because it's impossible to get anywhere if you haven't already done. And most professional dancers are retired before 30. A dancer in her 40s is MIND BLOWING. So yea that little girl puts A LOT of pressure on herself because she doesn't have any other choice. And JoJo KNOWS THAT AND EXPLOITED THAT DESPERATION. JoJo and her team were building up this girl's hopes and using her to beg her mother into allowing it. The team and JoJo and her mother told this girls mother that they WANTED a disabled dancer and they KNEW what the condition meant and they would adapt to her needs. They told her mother all about the abuse they witnessed and suffered under Abby Lee and told them how JoJo was going to be doing it completely differently. She would be focusing entirely on the girl's and their needs and showing how it SHOULD be done. Then treated them like crap. They KNEW that she would EVENTUALLY need surgery and that it would be a 6 week down time with another 6 weeks rehabilitation and then from then to the year mark it's just regaining full function. This isn't just a little girl who danced along to JoJo every now and then. She was already in the meat grinder. If she's saying it was bad. It was REALLY BAD. And frankly your comment sounds like something JoJo's team would comment to confuse the casual passers-by and make them believe that the mother was pushing this when it was CLEARLY her daughter because of adults like JoJo and her team hyping up the CHILD about everything she was going to get to do and how it was a once in a lifetime chance at getting to live her dreams. And how she would NEVER get it again. How there wasn't going to be ANYONE doing this. How there wasn't anyone else who had been through the abuse and was desperate to do it right and show how it SHOULD be done, how there wouldn't be anyone else willing to adapt to her disability, which is absolutely TRUE. There AREN'T ANY opportunities for disabled dancers. And JoJo manipulated this child's dreams and desperation to be liked and accepted against her. They were all yes's and is there ANYTHING we can do to help you till she was signed up. Then It just got worse and worse from the moment she entered that house. JoJo GROOMED this child. And there's NO other way to spin it. And it's evil disgusting despicable behaviour. ESPECIALLY from someone who claimed she was victim of identical abuses and just wanted to do it right. Stop blaming the mother. JoJo agreed to give her EVERYTHING that would make her daughter safe and comfortable and then went back on her word in every way possible. It was JoJo who made the child suffer knowing the mother couldn't just remove her because that would make her daughter hate her and never forgive her. And it was JoJo who played on that. I've always had a bad feeling about her. I've always said she's fake nice and totally lacks empathy but the documents made me realise she's FAR worse than people are comfortable or willing to admit. Because she acts and dresses like a young child people are scared to call her out because her delusional fans will attack them for "attacking a CHILD"! She's a young woman who is bragging she wants to buy a baby soon to play mommy. She's NOT a child. And frankly after these allegations she shouldn't be allowed near ANY children. She's ab abusive groomer. NO child deserves that misery. I pity her. She could have built a wonderful life. But nope. Instead she had to ruin her image and reputation. You don’t always know if you have spinal problems though and plus you can still dance with back problems but if you know the date of surgery is going to cut into performances than I agree with you

Usually they allow leigha to take a break after her surgery, for awhile she wasn’t going to performances due to her Spina Bifida and getting surgery but with stuff like music videos they couldn’t exactly allow her to sit that out since she was one of the faces of xomg as well. Leigha is an amazing dancer and singer despite her disability holding her back, Bella and Kinley were also mistreated back stage though they can’t come forward due to contracts. Jojo makes those kids sing and dance in practice when the suns up and by time they get done the sun has already set it’s probably already the next day by then. While on the show Brooklyn suffered dehydration because of how hard they were working her in the California heat.

Just because Leigha is disabled does Not mean that she shouldn’t be allowed to dance and do things that make her happy. Jess and Jojo also really played up the disability angle in the show. They really wanted a disabled dancer on the team and then when they had her they treated her poorly because of it.

It's not Leigha nor her mother's fault, it's the Siwas; for failing to properly accommodate her throughout her inception in the group. If they'd have known that this was gonna be the norm with Leigha moving forward, they wouldn't even have casted her into the competition to begin with, but no~, they just wanted to pull the passive ableist card and give us, the audience, a reminder that "disabilities can NEVER stop you from achieving your goals" (despite being true); which now feels a bit contradictory when future context is brought to the table. It's disheartening to realize what happened to the likes of Leigha, Kiya, Kinley and Bella, and hope that their NDAs will expire soon so they can speak their truths and call the Siwas out on their BS
