Did I watch Joker? No. Will I watch it NOW just so I can watch the sequel for LADY GAGA AS HARLEY QUINN?! Yes indeed. Kaley Cuoco will ALWAYS be THE Harley for me, but I love me some Gaga. I'd have watched the first movie if Harley was in it. I like Joker enough but Harley is more personal and involved a character for me.
This film delivers more Joker chaos than the original, with stunning visuals, sharp cinematography, campy humor, and Oscar-worthy performances from Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, despite its excessive musical numbers - which they cut out a few. It’s bold, controversial, and I actually prefer it to the first. It’s a 9/10 film for me. Btw, I didn’t hate the ending I actually really enjoyed it for reasons without spoiling but something I’ve been theorizing since the first film
It was pure entertainment ! Bonkers, funny, dark and UNHINGED... Like cmon lighten up people! The musical sequences actually worked but was def interesting... some will hate some will love
Thanks for such a great review. I’m definitely going to see it- I like musicals so I’ll be ok with it. I really love Lady Gaga ( and the first film of course)so I’m excited! I can see for sure that this movie will be divisive but I have the feeling I’ll like it since I tend to like stuff other people hate 😆
How did this movie rate compared to the 1st? That's all I'd like to know. The 1st one is my favorite movie of all time but I never thought they shouldn't make a sequel. If it's not up to par, you just don't watch or recommend it anymore. No problem with it.🤷♂️
Well, the first one is my favorite movie of all time so maybe I'm not the best person to ask that question to LOL. I wasn't expecting this to beat the first at all, and I'm perfectly fine with that. It's still a worthy sequel (more-so epilogue) though.
Did you think Joker 2 deserved all the hate it's been getting I feel ppl are taking shots in dark whenever they hear leaks it's okay to have an opinion on a decision for a movie but acting like you seen the movie and using extremely language to express this really need a video go in depth about media discussion doesn't really exist on the internet
I think there is a bandwagon hate train for this movie and people are wanted to take this movie down/ finding pleasure in negativity. Pretty sad. But at the end of the day the art stands on its own and It's a well made unhinged masterpiece
last time I checked projections said it'll open at 70 mil. The first I believe opened at 100 mil and it had amazing legs cause of word of mouth so it just making a ton of money every week. This being a musical cause a musical has never made a billion dollars, and the fact that it won't have much re watch value, I highly doubt it'll make 800 mil. If it opens at around 70, even if it has legs, I'd expect it ends somewhere around 500-600 million. Apparently the budget was 200 mil. Usually the marketing budget is half of that so 100 mil, and theaters take half the money, so this movie would have to make 600 mil to break even with their investment and thats not even counting if Gaga or Phoenix or Phillips had any royalties in their contracts if the film hit milestones. I think it can do that, but no way this film is overly profitable like the first. Apparently they have no plans to make a 3rd so Phillips and phoenix probably aren't worried about it lol
