For those in the comments who keep asking Folie à deux is actually an extremely rare real life phenomenon of shared psychosis. It translates literally to "shared madness" or "madness for 2" The infamous Slenderman stabbings are an example of Folie à deux.

I enjoyed Joker, but it’s not a movie I would watch again. This sequel looks better and more enjoyable to watch. I love that final shot with the smile. I’m a Lady Gaga fan. Looking forward to this!!!

Would be interesting if Harley was merely pretending to be a patient at Arkham to try to understand the inmates on a more personal level by building a rapport with them, but then after meeting the Joker she falls in love and _actually_ starts losing her mind 😅

Folie à Deux translated from French to English means “Shared Madness” or “Madness for Two” which is a rare disorder where two people closely related or have a strong bond can share delusions and hallucinations. (Perfect title for the 2nd movie of the Joker!!)

Been waiting for your guy’s reaction. This trailer looks great. Loved the first movie and can’t wait for the second one. Joaquin looks like he’s gonna do phenomenal just like he did in the first movie and Lady Gaga looks fantastic as a very different take on Harley Quinn. Just from this trailer I really felt their strong romantic chemistry with each other lol. Also the last shot in this trailer was amazing. Great reaction guys!

For Harley Quinn and the Joker; the two of them; maintain, I believe ;a very stable relationship; in terms, of their own personal dynamic. Especially since, no matter what happens; in both of their lives; they still remain loyal through realistic humanistic chemistry. This, of course; is why, neither of them have powers. Since, their characters; are primarily grounded in reality; in terms, of their authenticity of their genuine romantic relationship. However, thank you for this amazing video, though. Harley is a psychiatrist as she is on the outside of Arthur's cell and behind the glass at the end of the trailer. I think the use of music therapy helps Arthur get into his hallucinations.

I think what Todd Phillips might be doing here is a similar subversion of our perceptions of who Harley Quinn is, in the same way that he did with Joker's character in the first film. Arthur Fleck isn't a calculating psychopath or the Clown Prince Of Crime, he just wants to be seen and understood - to be loved in a world where only cruelty and violence exist. He certainly doesn't want to embody the symbol of anarchy he ultimately becomes. When they announced a sequel was in the works - before Harley was mentioned - I imagined it might involve a cult of Joker fanatics perpetuating that myth, trying to convince Arthur he's something that he really doesn't believe himself to be. I think Harley could well take the place of that idea; someone who has become fanatically obsessed with Joker to the point where she will do anything to be with him, perhaps even faking her own insanity so that she will be sent to Arkham. When she finally meets Arthur, she showers him with the adoration and affection he craves but it's all emotional manipulation to feed his ego and get what, and who, she really wants - Joker. So whereas the classic depiction of Harley has had her blinded by "mad love", emotionally abused and victimised by the Joker, this time we might see the reverse.

Joker probably don't have to really break her in this compared to the comic or suicide squad this one I'm getting the impression that she's already broken she's basically kind of like him in the first one maybe she's relatively normal but got sucked into the whole mob thing probably had a lot of bad stuff happen to her then events of first movie happened and she's awakened like he was like omg I'm a part of something and probably was already in love with this clown dude she never met obviously sees him on tv at the end of first one probably seen him at a distance maybe but then we pick up after that and she's trying to pick up the pieces but can't shake the joker he's already in her head she's already obsessed she reads everything on him watches everything probably hears his route through the city so she takes that same route maybe even bought his apartment so she live where he lived probably wasn't a patient before but once he's there she goes there to see him be near him visit him she's like a obsessed fan that sees herself in him and he sees himself in her unspoken thing like they say in guardians movies lol

I actually think it could all be Harley's fantasy. It would be a good twist. What if it's all her coping with being committed? A musical fantasy is more her style anyway. Plus, she's the one in love with him. Not the other way around.

I don't actually think that Harley is a patient. I think that what the joker sees in his delusional story. The title of the movie means delusions and madness between two people. Just like the joker thought he had a relationship in the first movie I think that Harley is a psychiatrist who just like her origin is infatuated and influenced by joker with shared madness. Jmo

I'm not knocking the movie, I enjoyed it for what it was, but there was no joker in the first one. And it's doubtful you'll won't find him in the sequel either. It's Taxi Driver with a Batman veneer to get butts in seats. Movies like this typically don't make so much money and associating it with the Batman universe paid off. But, again, this is not *The Joker* and I doubt we'll get *The Harley Quinn* either.
