This 2022 NVS RC Crawling qualifier round featured some of the most impressively difficult courses we’ve seen on the channel-but we didn’t get to see this tricky Class 2 course much last year, so I figured I’d blow off the dust and give it the love it deserves!

Based on the star in the truck bed, I think it's a NWSD chassis. . .

You're correct! It is a Scattergun from NWSD. They have some sweet designs for sure!

In my opinion, the winch points went from 3 to 5 points strictly because of the winch haters. Consider this: a roll over is 5 points as well, but you have to touch the truck AND it takes almost no time. You don’t have to touch the truck when winching and it takes substantially more time to do. I think 3 points is the right amount for a winch. Either way it costs less than a gate.

I 100% agree with this, the winch will absolutely EAT your time if you have to do it multiple times. It can also add up quickly, especially if you have to re winch, or mess up while winching. It’s not always as easy as it seems.

Great point, Cam!! I didn't even consider the fact that you are trading more than just points with a winch-time is also a huge factor. Especially as our courses have leveled up in difficulty, it is even more of a consideration to ensure you don't DNF by poorly managing your time. Thanks for the thoughts!! 🤘🏼🤙🏼🍻

I thought the bands always helped keep suspension from falling away from truck especially when hitting steeps sidehills, if weight is proper to front they pull the truck to follow front axle….idk about banding rear that def hurts breakover….but take any rig band the front down and it will perform better….
