Looks simple to play but lots of decision space. I like that there are reference cards for types of sets.

Thank you so much for this video. I have been intersted in buying this game at Essen but there wasn't any content about the game. This makes me very happy to see that it will be a game I would enjoy.

I like how the theme ties into the game mechanics. This one looks & feels like a sushi go variant to me based on the first couple of terms. Jon you are pumping out content like crazy man, thank you for all the high level runthroughs :D

Designer here :D Thanks for checking the game out @Pookiebear. The game is inspired by Sushi Go and Glen More primarily. You can see the influence of both games in the end product. I've done my best to anchor things thematically. The game had another theme initially, but when I changed to the Swedish winter market theme, I re-designed and modified a lot of sets to match the new setting. I appreciate that you recognized the theme in a game that is after all quite abstract

Oh wicked :) What I love about the board game community is that it is so interactive with the designers. I think I recognized the them right away because of my German roots haha, my family goes to a local German market yearly.@@MNeMoNiCuZ

Hey John, at the 42:00 minute mark when scoring the patchwork cards you moved the yellow marker for blue's points. Blue was on the 40 point mark before patchworks, so after scoring 35 they should have been on 70. And since yellow was moved, they should have remained on the 43 mark with a +50 token. I'm coming down form a cold right now so I can't quite figure out how that should affect the final scores, but hope this helps.

When counting patch poin for blue you moved yellow marker so the end game result should be Yellow 160 Red 145 Blue 150 Hope this help :)

At 28:49, would it have been good to skate to the donation so you gain it and not claim. That would be 18 points.

Just curious about strategy. Why would a player ever skip over a skating card?

@redheadbanjo Game designer here: I would say yes. It all depends on where your OTHER meeple is. If your other meeple was going to go next anyway, there's no point. Additionally, it also matters wher your other meeple is in relation to your opponents. Because when your other meeple leaves it's spot, it will get refilled by a card. This means that an opponent is likely to get first dibs on this card, and it usually means that they were able to make a super short jump and still get a card. But it could also make it worse for them, depending on the card sets you are playing with. The game is filled with small subtleties like this that really impacts the "value" of each move you make. Even though it is very simple at the surface, playing well has depth.

This theme annoys me. I could be in the minority. As perhaps a more substantive critique, the table is kind of a mess of cards - both as far as visual aesthetic and a messy playspace.
