Took me a minute to realize there were two of each of you... so used to seeing four that it wasn't an immediate realization. Lovely song. And I do love me some cider.

The Dreadnoughts were the ones who originally got me into shanties, so it was awesome to see them come out with a more traditional-sounding album. Love the cover, guys- keep up the awesome work

Just as I suspected, completely adequate.

Doing research on this song, it turns out Joli Rouge refers to a cidery company from Chicoutimi, Quebec, France. One of their drinks is called 'Dreadnought Cider'. Also, apparently, it's a diss track (sort-of) against mass-produced ciders (it mentioned Magners and Strongbow). At least that is what it has been described on their Bandcamp website.

Usually I don't like covers and am so snobby to like only the original, but you did damn fine. And Shanties should always be liked by everyone no matter who sings it, because thats the spirit of shanties.

Wow, I was actually born in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, a region in the French speaking part of Canada. Chicoutimi was the closest "big" city from my home village, I've never hear of it being famous for its apple cider, I was quite surprised to discover there's a song about it.
