Hello Ate! Inaki’s friend here, Regina. When I had Jollibee a month ago, I found the food salty too.. I guess it’s because we’re used to the food in Japan now… 😅 it was still so good though. The burger steak reminded me so much of my childhood.. nostalgic. 😍
Aaaahhh!! Hello Regina! Thank you for commenting on my video! ❤️ Kuya told me about you! I gained 4kg in Manila in 10 days. Hahaha Filipino food is A LOT. Hahaha a lot of everything. Extra salty, extra sweet, extra spicy! Haha
Jollibee BF Homes! I miss that area! We also have palabok here in SoCal. Palabok with chickenjoy is also my favorite! :D Haven't tried choco mallow though, we don't have that here, but at least we have peach mango pie. :)
Hahahaha you know it! Awww man! You have to try the choco mallow pie when you and Hanna get to visit Manila! :) I'm so glad to know a couple of branches in the US have Palabok! My cousin in Las Vegas said they have some over there too!
Yes Hannah, we have palabok here too. 3 mins away that’s why we didn’t eat at Jollibee in Manila few months back. The chicken is bigger here, adobo rice pa. Jollibee is staple food. I remember Jollibee on 1978 burger steak and coke with spaghetti pesos 1.75 have fun !!!l
Oh! I’m so glad you have Palabok there too! 😍 I checked the US menu and it didn’t feature Palabok so I assumed it wasn’t available! I’m happy the ones near you have it. How is it there? Good too? 🤤 I want to try the adobo rice! A friend of mine made a video on Jollibee in the US and they really loved the adobo rice. 🤩
@@whatchuHANAdo , the palabok here in Anaheim near us is as good as the palabok in Manila. Just bring your own kalamansi!! They use lemon here (bland taste) servings are bigger here from the chicken to the spaghetti to the rice and hot served. The adobo rice needs is bland too (kulang sa panlasa) but if you eat it with the rest you miss home!! Pineapple juice yes as you said. Sweet too sweet! The I believe price wise same as Manila. 🤓 smart choice with Jollibee! Enjoy!
Hahahaha I totally agree with you! Can’t wait for your take on the chicken 🤩 wish I shot a street food in Manila one but unfortunately my stomach has weakened. I got a bit sick there. Hahaha I will be uploading a cravings video though hahaha
Whaaat no way? That’s so cool! 🥹 I’m so happy it’s his favorite fried chicken! He has great taste! I’m not in Manila anymore but I’ve tried Spiral Buffet before! It’s super delicious!
Aaaaaaah! Hi Zephon the Dragon hahahaha of recognize your user ID anywhere. I know exactly what the GMZ stands for. Lol I want to visit soon! Hopefully I get to! Or you come here? ☺️
Jollibee chicken always looks good and now that they're branching out here in the UK I might get to try it some day. Sadly, Palabok is not on our menu.😞 Glad that you enjoyed your nostalgic trip there with your mum.😄
It’s okay that there’s no Palabok! It’s the chicken that’s number 1 anyway! 🥹 I hope you at least get to try that! 🤩 Thank you so much! It was so nice to just be able to spend time with her especially after not being able to go home in 3 years.
Oh that’s so cool! My cousin and friends said there’s Palabok in Vegas and San Francisco as well! The more fortunate branches! Haha have you tried the Palabok? Did you like it? ☺️
If you ever come across Shakey's, PLEASE film an episode there! I am from Indiana USA, and when I grew up there were several Shakey's in my area. Sadly, they have all closed, and I think only a few are left in the USA. The pizza and Mojos are my favorite, and we used to go for their all you can eat buffet and never leave lol!
Oh!! Yes there’s a couple of Shakey’s branches here that offer lunch buffets! ☺️ I used to go all the time! I’ll do my best to do an episode there. I’ll put in on my list now! 🤤
Yup! I also try Jollibee wherever I am. Last time I was back in Manila and had chicken joy, the rice was disappointing…. dunno if it was just me but rice quality was terrible back then for my liking. It was too dry or too soft.
Yo okaerinasai hahaha. man, I really wish I had a few millions lying around just so I can to bring Jollibee to Japan. Lots of Filipinos in Tokyo already, and that Chicken Joy will really bring crowds, Filipino or not. Then there's the potential for Japan-exclusive items - imagine kaarage cuts, but Chicken Joy seasoning. prep, and cooking method. Or the burger steak, but put that in a bowl of Japanese rice, use more/better mushrooms, maybe add some parsley and white onion, call it a hamburgasteaki-don, and bam Matsuya who. I can totally see the peach mango pie flying off shelves every damn day. One can dream.
Hahaha thanks, man! Right??? I can totally see that happening! I think the chickenjoy is better than KFC chicken here actually. That sounds like an amazing idea! Would it be that hard to open one up? Hahaha wishful thinking
