You don't wash your rice when cooking things such as jollof so the starches keeps together the rice as supposed to having separate grains

Keith, you need to put a few slices with a knife through the chicken down to the bone, so the flavour goes right through the meat. It's loads better and is how all the traditional takeaways/ restaurants do jerk/ tandoori etc...chicken 🐔

Keith I salute you for doing jollof rice from Nigeria or Ghana. You do know that you can moderate the temperature of the rice by adding less chilli. You can moderate the heat hahahaha 😅. Jurk chicken is Jamaican , you should have scored the chicken and only use two teaspoons for that amount of chicken and rubbed it well in.

No. It's not suppose to be that hot. You could've took the seeds and membrane out of the Scotch Bonnets, before putting them in food processor. Also, instead of using red Scotch Bonnet, you could've used a green Scotch Bonnet. They are milder. My West African Uncle taught me how to cook Jollof rice when I was 11. Good vid!

Hope you put the loo roll in the freezer! 🤣 It looked absolutely lovely for what it's worth. If you like pineapple try to keep a carton of juice in for when you're having really spicy stuff. The enzymes in it break down the bonds that make the capsaicin stick to your tongue. Might help! 😝

For the chicken id slash the skin not deep but will get yhe marinade deeper

Natalie u looked as if u were struggling with your cutlery l watched a review u did some time ago to cut some tube like sponge to put on the knife + fork handle to help grip as l have arthritis in my fingers l found it really helpful but notice u never use them yourself l thought that u had also found them helpful but seems u manage ok without them .
