This was Al Jolson's very first Brunswick record in 1924, after leaving Columbia and signing a very lucrative contract with his new Recording Company. The Selection is 'Steppin' Out with the Isham Jones Orchestra accompanying Jolson's vocal. This record is still in the Acoustical era, and I am playing it on a Victor Monarch Special Talking Machine with a smooth Oak Horn.

It's nice to come home from work to a Jolson song, one of my favorite singers of all time. The Record's in great shape as well.

A wonderful’Roaring Twenties’ tune delivered by the great Al Jolson. Loved that band really hitting it near the end of the recording. ❤

Very nice Brunswick 78 I notice your channel has about 78s from 1890s-1930s and I think you have a good collection.I used to have a phonograph collector friend named Eddie but unfortunately he passed away.I just subscribed

where do you get all these special records especially ones fron “victor” or “edison records” because where i live here in the uk i cant find any or are they mostly in america because ive been meaning to add a victor to my collection but simply cant afford the postage

they are probably mostly in America, but I started Collecting way back in the early 1980's when they were still plentiful, and found them at estate sales and yard sales and were given some by friends and others. They are far less available now of course and most of the good ones have be gobbled up by collectors like myself years ago. I am down sizing now and have given away boxes of them to some collectors just starting out.
