When I first saw Band Geeks play Yes, I was blown away! When Jon and Band Geeks got together to perform Yes, this is perfect, and so amazing! But they were still just performing Yes old music. Now that they are creating new music together, that is another level!
YES "We have this collective consciousness of wanting life to be more serene. More bliss in life. More joyfulness in life." Spread kindness. YES. Jon is the voice of YES.
TRUE is an absolutely spectacular album. I’ve had it looping in my car for two weeks now. The bands blew me away with their spectacular performances and their ability to capture the YES sound while bringing it into the 21st-century is absolutely amazing. This is a very special album.
I could not agree more. These songs are so finely crafted, and it's amazing how Yes-like some of them are! Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoyed the conversation! :)
I really can’t find enough words to express my appreciation. Thank You!!! Jon really is something special in so many ways. So glad you enjoyed the conversation. Thanks for watching! It means so much for you to reach out with kind words and a hug!!🤗 Big hugs right back at ya’!!😊
I don't know what's with Jon A. but I think he's the most beautiful person I've ever seen... he impresses me in such a way it's hard to explain, not to mention his singing, which is otherworldly
Saw Jon and The Band Geeks last night at Great South Bay music Festival, it was a sublime and excellent performance. These guys are fantastic, and the vibe was, of course, heavenly! Continued great success to Jon and The Geeks!
Ritchie is such a great musician. He was instrumental in getting Blue Oyster Cult's "The Symbol Remains" off the ground. The Band Geeks legendary Yes covers and now collaboration have now allowed Jon Anderson to write another chapter in HIS journey. What a amazing musical story!
Yes, Ritchie is a good lad. I am a HUGE YES and BOC fan. I have seen Ritchie with BOC a few times and hope to see BG w/Jon on the West Coast. Jon lives in San Luis Obispo Ca. Come on! We will show up.
@@DrMusicInterviews I am about to retire. I built my own speakers and soldered my share of microphone cables and snakes and such. Essentially, we didn’t have money back in the 1970’s. I treated myself to an audiophile quality stereo. Jon’s new album is excellent. Excellent writing and composing, excellent recording and mixing.
I know the feeling you speak about. As soon as he came on this call, I felt all that comfort and warmth of his spirit rush in again; the same spirit I felt more than a decade ago. He brings us so many gifts. Such a special human. Thank you so much for watching and sharing the kind words. I'm glad it connected with you!
Jon has a magical voice. I have been a fan for 50 years and always like new music. I just saw him in Phoenix last week and the a still sounds incredible. Thanks for everything Jon, stay healthy and keep singing your heart out.
You are so very welcome! Jon is a such a joy to speak with. Just hearing him talk seems to make the sun shine brighter! I'm really happy you enjoyed the interview, and I am so grateful for your kindness and support. I hope I can continue to provide content that makes your heart smile! :) Thank you!!
Jon: "There is always something coming along to wake us up"...Or better still as Eckhart Tolle has said: " You are here to enable the wisdom of the universe to unfold", and so Jon is contributing to that.
Must say the new album is absolutely phenomenal. Best yes related album since 90125. Looking forward to my vinyl version arriving. Great interview thank you for your work.
Isn’t it just amazing!! I couldn’t agree more. I love the production on the record, and the variation in song styles. We get the radio friendly sing along, and we get the deeply progressive structure that I love so much. This is one of my favorite records from Jon. I’m so glad you enjoy the record and the interview! Thank you for the support and for sharing your kind words!😊🙌🏼
My all time bestest vocalist. Friends of Mr Cairo, one of the best albums I own, the first release I might hasten to add. Love you John, from a fellow composer and songwriter.
Thank you...really enjoyed this interview with Jon, The Legend...I'm going to see them tomorrow night at the Keswick and can't wait to see them live!!!
So will we finally hear the sequel to Olias of Sunhillow? Zamran? I've been waiting almost 40 years! In any case, I'm glad to know new music is coming! Jon Anderson is one of my favorite artists of all time! I was introduced to YES in high school. It changed my life! I love all kinds of music, but YES & Jon's music has a huge impact on my life!
I love to hear how Jon and his music has touched people. It really is something special that he shares with all of us. There are so many of these types of “loose ends” that I would love to get in the future. We shall see! Jon doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all! Thanks very much for watching!!
Please tell Jon to come and play in Maui. The Island is reeling from all the fires and we have another big fire in Kula right now. We need his positive energy now more then ever!
So sorry to hear about the fires, John. It is heartbreaking for so many of us watching from the mainland. Please stay safe. I have no knowledge of Jon's touring possibilities, but I'm sure he would love to share any positive energy he possibly could with anyone that is hurting. And I know this new record will bring light to so many. I hope it can lift you and your community up and help you to move forward. Saying prayers of peace and healing for you and yours.
Jon Anderson True is s True Yes album, not Home Brew disguised as Yes music. Thank you Jon for sticking with tradition, putting your fans first and keeping it real. Steve Howe needs to write a song call Diary of a selfish man who destroyed Yes music!
ha ha! Steve became very bullheaded with the name Yes. His band should be called LEGAL YES ha ha. Jon's band is just killer. I wish they would tour the West Coast for once.
They released a teaser song a week or so ago it should be pretty easy to find. It is amazing, if I didn't know better I would tell you that it was a yes song that had never been released
most newsworthy bit perhaps, asked about a follow-up he mentioned Roine Stolt, 1000 Hands pt2 (was it?) and 'maybe Zamran' A musical traveler, enjoying the freedom of being... Outside of this and inside of that
Well at the 13 mins mark mentions 'You put on your television and adverts appear... ' . The same could be said of youtube for those who don't pay premium rates, even when they are tuning in to Jon being unconditionally positive....
I love Yes and Jon, but please don't talk about politics - it demeans the beauty and truth of Yes thought. The Yes spirituality is far above 'political' children's squabbling. Lovely talk, amazing new album, insightful questions. Peace always 😊
Thanks very much for sharing your thoughts in such a kind and respectful manner. I'm very happy to hear that you still enjoyed the chat through the small bit of political talk. Also great to hear that you are enjoying the album! My hope is that you continue to be surrounded by the beauty and truth of Jon's bright light, and you find peace in all that you do. Thanks very much for watching and sharing!
Yes muse* and politics, two totally different mindsets. I agree. One definitely less than the otber. (A lesson I've learned quite enough of.) *It is known by many names 😉
He shops at Home Depot. "Owner Of A Lonely Heart"... "It Can Happen"....."Leave It"....."Rhythm Of Love". He's heard them all while buying a ladder and a big generator. ;) Just a guess, but I would think you might hear something like Gowan's "Moonlight Desires" in some Canadian businesses, too. Jon (and yes, Justin) is everywhere. :)
Jon's music is great and will live on forever. However, if he's not happy in America, disparaging its presidents, etc., then he is more than welcome to move somewhere else, Belize or otherwise, for the remainder of his Earthly years.
