Anik has so much knowledge of the sport, so it surprises me he fails to mention Randy Couture. DC was the first to hold them simultaneously but Couture already captured both multiple times. "Double Champ" wasn't a thing until they let McGregor do it.

Randy Couture held the LHW and HW titles. Not at the same time but he still had them both at some point. Jon Jones will never have both belts at the same time now due to vacating. DC's legacy is being the only fighter ever to hold them both at the same time. With defenses also.

If Cannonier can find a way to stay close and smother Izzy then sustain pace I think he can wear Izzy down and finish him late in the fight. Similar to how King Mo and Johnny Eblen were able to grind out wins over Gegard Mousasi.
