I admire you more each and every song you release on RU-vid. You are an all around talented musician, singer, and entertainer. You and Colbert are the best thing to ever happen to late night talk shows. Blues and funk in the same song.. I mean come on! And call and response!! Love it!!!! Can’t wait to hear more!

What a song. What a year. What a life it is. Imagine the healing that would take place if we all cried just once. What a powerful act, to accept one's vulnerability and allow it to consume you completely. The world needs healing. Jon Batiste, thank you for reminding me to cry. IT is amazing how many genres Jon combines. He effortlessly transitions from a laidback country-style song a la "World of Hurt" (Ilse DeLange) into a showcase of his surprisingly steady high-pitched voice (reminiscent of "Streetlights" by Bernhoft), mixed with a prechorus that draws from 70s alternative rock. I look forward so much to the album, which is looking to be the biggest clash of styles I've heard in 20-ish years. Bring it on Jon!
