@@RhettTolman its just too good. Great vibes. Awesome live music just playing off each other. Its so sad so many people haven't been able to enjoy Jon's work or even know of him. People be missing out
Jon possesses a rare form of talent. At the same time, I was also blown away by the other musicians in the room and their attentiveness and flexibility to Jon's conducting and the "feel" of the music. This whole thing was absolute fucking brilliance.
He’s never been eaten by fame. He Always has and clearly always will surround himself with raw, undeniable talent that understands the art of music as he does. It doesn’t matter about their clout or follower count, only their skill and passion.
Playing with a group that knows what they're doing is like no other. At the end of practice you can jam out. It's an incredible feeling to watch so many moving parts in action and see how well they function.
JON WAS AMAZING. But can we appreciate the musicians too they were so good at matching his energy and knowing exactly what he wanted, he so good, his progression and manipulating the instruments mid song to want he wants. Jon and that team were amazing best concert i've ever heard.
I'm late to this but yes this whole thing was amazing. Not sure if there was a crowd there but man would that have been something special to see live. So cool.
The way he finds his way to Chandelier in Simple And Sweet gives me 50 types of goosebumps, holy fck this man is talented. This entire concert was a journey!
If you love live studio sessions, this is for you, and if you don't, you will after you listen to this gem. This guy is amazing!!! The guitarist, the strings, the horns, the bass, pianist, percussions, ... the composing live, raw unedited, genius. Lifts you up and helps you surrender all unreleased pain. Phenomenal
here for my own reference because i listen to this every day. 0:00 - Conversations with my wife 5:34 - Guillotine 10:25 - Luxury 14:54 - Blu 21:15 - Adult Swim 34:21 - Stupid Deep 37:50 - Holy 45:40 - Simple & Sweet
I am darn near 55 years old. My 16 year old son introduced me to Jon and his music made an impact on this old man. Some of the lyrics reflect the various stages of my life. I am grateful to hear such wonderful music by a talented artist. Stupid deep is my favorite as it reflects all the struggles I had in my late teens and throughout my 20s. Enjpy life as it goes by in a blink of eye.
26 but ppl always say I have the wisdom of an older gentlemen I think 3x today I can relate to you all so much and no so much my peers wow may GOD Bless you all.
Had the privilege of having a q&a with him at a VIP experience. He is exactly what you see. No bullshit, pure genius and talent mixed with a grounded personality. Was such a cool experience meeting one of the most talented producers and musicians of our time, maybe even all time.
@@izzie2070 I asked him what his process being Mah’s Joint was and why he chose that orchestra sound, and he explained in an interesting and emotional manner really. Was so cool! People asked whatever really, all from personal to business! Think he spent almost an hour with us, but it went by so fast I am not sure really 🤣
@@ColdSteele13 coolest thing! We only thought we was gonna take a group photo and meet him for a few seconds, but he decided to change it, because he had to cancel his last concert in Norway. Such an amazing experience, but funny enough, he forgot the group photo with us.
Lawrence actually created the whole platform this was streamed on and this was the first concert on it which is cool since lawrence was the first band signed to bellions label
Simple and Sweet live is one of the best things I've heard in years, the enjoyment from all musicians is so clear and it translates straight into the sound... Pure vibes
The ability to understand not only how his own voice works in tandem with the role that every instrument plays is mind blowing. He’s aware of every instrument and every impact it has to the music. Sheesh.
i always knew he was a good, even *great* vocalist, one of the best pop vocalists w/ one of the most soothing and unique voices in pop/hip hop... but like... i didn't realize he was approaching virtuoso levels... like i wouldn't call him a vocal master but he's definitely closer to that than i thought before seeing and hearing this. Plus, his skill as a bandleader and conductor, his sense for improv, just the way he obviously unites his whole band... I've always loved Jon as a songwriter, lyricist, and singer, but I did not realize he was this genuinely talented live.
I'm only 14 minutes through and I'm confident I can judge that the rest of this will continue to be the greatest fucking thing I have ever had the privilege of listening to. Holy shittttt dude this guy eats, sleeps, and breathes music
same bro, I've listend to this guy since middle school. His talent and his angelic voice speak to me in a way I cannot express in words. Against all odds he prevailed without bending over to anyone, truly a model human.
Going through the worst cramps on earth😂. Watching this took all of it away and I'm not even kidding. God! I love this man called Jon Bellion. I still can't believe my body responds to his music. 😂
After listening to this at least 100 times I finally realized @ 26:15 when he says "jingle Bellion", Clyde plays it on the piano hahah can't believe I did not hear that before. Just wanted to let others know incase like me you missed it before!
Been a looooonnnnnngg time fan, and got to watch this concert live. I’ve seen him in person before in Atlanta as well and can safely say he is likely the most talented musical artist of this generation
This is what happens when a great composer meets musicians who are on the same wavelength as him or her. That’s what music is all about bringing people with different talents to produce harmony, unison and togetherness towards a common goal (My opinion though)
I hear this video DAILY since I discovered it. It was a month ago, and I never get enough. I wish the world could appreciate each and every note, musician, synchrony, poetry of this Jingle Bellion.
Did anyone else get crazy emotional watching this?? I’m on my lunch break tearing up in the car to this. It’s just such a deep emotional feeling watching artists interact in such a harmonic manner. This is so powerful.
Jon's music has such a special quality to it, I think he's the only artist who's really stayed consistently in my rotation since 8th grade. I'm almost 20 now and every time he comes on it just brings up so many memories and like this overall feeling of "everything's gonna be alright"
Jon's voice makes me bawl lol and yeah the musicians here are soo amazing and the fun they're having is soo apparent. I just wish I could've been in the room. I would've been a MESS 😅
it is the expression of authenticity on the highest level, he is so connected to the creator you can feel the love overflowing and thus you also overflow with love (tears)
I honestly don't know how to put what I feel from this into words. It's so clear that he loves what he's doing, and it makes me love it even more, he's so passionate, so talented, and has an amazing voice. I cannot, and will not, stop watching/listening to this video
There used to be a version of this on YT that did not have cuts between songs, just the raw video. It is such an amazing version! If anyone has this saved, PLEASE let me know!
I remember the video you're talking about, over an hour long. I'd love to see that video again as well, I swear I listen to this performance multiple times a week still
I used to play sax in a live band, I haven't played in years and God I miss it. Words can't describe what it feels like to be a part of something like this, what it does for your soul. I've been chasing that feeling of happiness everywhere and falling flat. I think I'll start playing again. Thanks Jon.
I had worked with one of the horn players this past summer, can't believe I just realized he was in this performance now! So cool to see and a very talented musician.
Which one? I've been searching for the last hour trying to find credits to the trumpet soloist who also played the sousaphone in Simple and Sweet Pt. 2
Seriously. Jon is absolutely a musical genius. To understand the ebb and flow of every instrument creating emotion in real time. It's just incredible to watch.
If he still tours… I highly recommend checking a show out, he’s incredible live. Seen him 4-5 times I think. Not sure why he’s not putting out his own music anymore though :/
Yes I can imagine his concerts are phenomenal! Maybe he's taking a break for personal reasons. Just a guess. Hey just saw a video called "Why you haven't heard of Joh Bellion (purposely). Wonder what that is.@@millerjjoey
Thank you for posting this 🙏 my absolute favorite part is at 57:50 when they go off and show the mixers jamming out too. Crazy amount of talent, I cant imagine how amazing it would have been to be in that room.
I love how raw this is! you can see and even hear how excited the whole band was. this is how music should be enjoyed.. You can hear and feel the excitement. you become part of the experience and not just an audience.
This man’s passion and genuine love for music is undeniable and it’s always so refreshing to hear and watch! Jon bellion and his team deserve the world
Came here thinking I would listen to a song or two, then I noticed I had finished the whole, almost an hour long, video. This is talent. The way they're able to communicate with each other without actually communicating.. does that make sense?
Its super cool for an artist to basically turn a concert into a jam session and still recognize that with everyone giving their all on the instruments, he wont phone in his portion. Its almost like watching a friendly competition between everyone for the best lick/moment/vibe/transition/ all of it is amazing.
I love when musicians meld so well together that they can seamlessly go in and out of the structure of a piece and start improvising and at a moments notice go right back on track. That’s a room filled with AMAZING musicians.
I just cant get enough of this, everytime i buy a new headphone i always come back to this video.. I hope i never forget this masterpiece exist in the Internet.
This has been on repeat for the past few weeks. Best hour I've ever spent. Jon Bellion just gets the motion and dynamism of music in a way that's just unheard of. What a privilege it must have been for any musician to play alongside this guy. Looooove it.
I love that he uses his lyrics as playthings to just accent the beautiful symphony he’s conducting in the background. Like, he hasn’t sang. Single one of these songs word for word like a sing a long, they’re all different experiences. Every time. Incredible. Great job
I’ve watched this performance like 20 times but I never realized he started it with Conversations with my Wife. The versions I’ve seen all started at Guillotine. Conversations acoustic is SOOOOO good
the energy in that room i have a feeling of envy as i continously smile from cheek to cheek, the effect of sound and harmoney all together from the people that know what they are doing is other worldly. most of these songs i never herd before but an artist that can perform live with such fedelity is genuenly a feat of extraordinary. So happy to be stumbled apone here.
Wow ! This ENTIRE performance is what i imagine fireworks feels like when they go off in a persons soul ! I had chills from start to finish, but 2:52-3:00 for him was BEAUTIFUL ! then him bringing in the strings at 3:00 to the horns solo moment to allowing them all to build gradually then slowed them down to build up the energy slowly to a new pace with his voice and commands 🥂 ! This man’s performance along with the talented instrumentalists was a masterpiece ☺️ The beatboxing, the solo moments, the bridges and him literally finding ways throughout the performance to make it even more powerful, talent ! His continued excitement and enthusiasm throughout each song is reflected into the energy which is impeccable ❤️ you can feel the chemistry, love, respect, and gratitude between everyone in the air and it brings it that much more to life 🙏🏽
