Micah, I got a pro tip for ya here. Flatheads almost NEVER eat dead fish or cut bait, They are exclusively hunters. You wanna put a live little bluegill on a circle hook and that will get it done. Hope this helps, look forward to seeing you catch some big ones!

The only flatheads I've ever caught have been on fresh cut bait that being said I have never targeted them specifically and I have heard live bluegill r the best for flatheads

WRONG!!! in MOST places of the country flat heads will smoke cut bait over live bait. in the little dinky rivers is where live bait does best. but the thought that flat heads only eat live bait is the biggest flathead myth! Most all my flatheads come on cut bait and my personal best as well, but I usually only fish big lakes...

@@Mikeypaulslingshots I've been fishing flatheads my whole life, I probably catch about 1 in 10 flatheads on cut bait, That leaves nine on live. I disagree, live bait simply performs better.

Bullheads probably the best flathead bait out there…with that being said, my trip to Santee Cooper reservoir we caught flatheads on both and the biggest at 71 lbs was on cut bait…go figure and my 62lb was on live bait..think it really just matters if they are hungry they are going to eat no matter what you have in the water💯💯

Great video as always! Being a FL boy it's funny to hear people from other parts of the world talk about gators. They are so prevalent here it's INSANE. The only time to worry about a gator though is when kayaking or if they come after your stringer!! Lastly, the Runescape analogy set the video over the top for me. 10/10 would recommend to a friend

Best spot for catfish on the upper lake is right at the I-95 bridge in the old river channel. Bait doesn't stay down long there!

Love your content again and yet another thing to consider. I have camped out in my 14 foot aluminum semi v before and good call with the tent. I have always been scared to set up the tent in my boat but learned something even more scary. Wouldn't really be too concerned about the gators but you are absolutely correct about the snakes! They love to come aboard at night and actually do it quite quickly and easily. Keep it up with your adventures sir!

Trot line or even tree limb line w/those perch heads/gut cavity. Gut cavity cut it in half make 2 baits. One prong of treble to "sew up" the cavity so all the goodies don't fall out,& yet put out catfish scent. Gives u something to look forward to in the morning. Maybe a tree limb shaking w/all leave knocked off it?
